Greetings!!
We have a school where people come and learn languages with a teaching method specific to us. So if you are an English or French speaker or fluent in English, French or both, we are super happy to have you.
We just started a language school in a small town 1 hour away from Marrakesh. At the moment we are mainly focusing on English and French lessons to teenagers and young adults for a start. We may also start teaching English at the pre-school level in a near future.
The help we need is mostly for correct pronunciation, useful grammar tips, and introduction to common English expressions as well as all applied communication skills. So anybody having a TEFOL certificate or any other degrees pertaining to language teaching will be more than welcomed. But anyone mastering English or French as a first or second language will also be very very appreciated.
The students you will be teaching are a bubbly, lively bunch of open minded people who are guarantied to catch your heart very quickly. They are very eager to learn new languages, especially English and French as they need them for good job opportunities. They are extremely good hearted, very respectful and all and all a treat to be with.
The teachers in charge of English and French courses you will be working with are very dynamic persons with whom you will have a lot of fun to cooperate with. They will help you to get ready before actual teaching. Your own creative inputs and ideas concerning teaching techniques will also be more than welcomed to be discussed and applied as well.
While you are here, you will get to know the Moroccan culture, customs and traditions. If you are interested in learning Arabic we can arrange some classes for you.

You will experience the true Moroccan life.
For instance, every Thursday there is a huge market, the souk, just in front of the flat. Visiting the Souk, you will feel totally immersed in the Moroccan culture. Farmers are there to sell their products, such as fruits and vegetable as well as livestock like cows, sheep, goats, chickens and rabbits. They are all sorts of food stands with typical delightful Moroccan food. You will find a large variety of dried fruits and nuts with of course our famous dried and fresh dates as well as an amazing choice of exotic spices… and clothes and artifacts of all kinds, some very traditionally Moroccan at cheap prices.
If you are interested, we provide local trips every weekend. For long stayers (over 3 month), we will organize free trips to places you would like to go to.
Everybody here speaks Arabic and a lot of people get by quite well in French. If you wish, we can organize some free arabic introduction classes for you. Just chatting with the students will already give you a very good start in that regard. Like everywhere else, the Moroccans are very eager to share their language and ways with you.
Morroco hospitality is notorious all over the World.
As teaching volunteers, you will learn how to teach (the preparation, the teaching, the follow up) with our specific teaching method, and why we set it. That knowledge could be useful for you as an additional skill. You might get a certificate from our organization.

Right now, we can use help in the apartment as we acquired it recently and we are adding furniture and appliances bit by bit. We have done a lot of work so far but there are still things to be done, as well as at the school. So anyone with handyman skills and a hard work ethic is gladly welcome.

Free accommodation. We have an apartment 5 minutes walk away from the school where there are 2 big shared rooms for workaway guests and the internet. For the volunteers, we are doing our best to fit the flat out and make you feel at home. At the school, the roof top is a lovely sunny space with some plants, ideal for yoga and relaxation.
Smokers have a place to enjoy, both at the flat and at the school.
As for meals, there are many markets around where you can get everything you need at very reasonable prices for cooking in the kitchen. There are cafés near by where you can get a full meal for a very cheap price. Life in this town is very cheap and you will spend not much for we are very generous and many students will invite you. Every Friday, we provide a traditional couscous meal gathering as well.
The school is located just one hour drive from Marrakesh, the most visited city in Morocco by tourists. The top things to see in Morocco are just one hour drive from our school: Marrakech, Ouzoud ,water falls, the 3 valleys, Ourika valley, treks in the High Atlas
Also, for long stayers (over 1 month) we can arrange a three days trip to the desert ( Only the cost of the diesel is shared)
