Descripción
Our Charity and Support Fund is a non-governmental organization that works for 6 years and generates creative as well as financial potential for work with social exclusion children and youth. The organization was founded in 2010 and has representatives in the UK.
We cooperate with municipalities, Child Rights Offices and Social Support Units, orphanages, schools, other funds, private organizations and companies.
Targeted support group: children living in various Lithuanian cities and regions from large, disadvantaged families, families living in the remote areas. Children that have lost their parents due to illness or accidents or have been left by their parents due to emigration. Active, talented, motivated children that have limited opportunities for non-formal education and studies.
We invite volunteers to volunteer at the camp that we organize with our partners, where volunteers spend their time with children and youth, organize activities for them, teach them whatever they are able to, from dancing, singing, playing sports to different foreign languages, etc.
So if you love spending time with children and youth, know how to communicate with them and are willing to spend the time in a purposeful way - come to us to Lithuania!

It is a great opportunity to see another country and to spend time in a purposeful way. Being a leader volunteer in the camp teaches you organizational skills, since you have to organize activities, to plan and implement them. You have a freedom for your creativity.
Also, working in a group of different people for a common goal, dealing with different opinions improves your communication skills. Plus, spending time with children and youth, giving them your warmth, sharing your values, encouraging them and getting the best feelings back from them gives such a pleasure and makes you feel honored, rewarded and empowered.
In the summer of 2017, we hosted two volunteers from this platform: a professional dunker from the US (the whole summer period) and a perfect team-building guy from Egypt (for one month period).
With us you will be able to experience Lithaunian culture!

The camp in 2019 will be held in Krakiai village, Mazeikiai district.
The building of a non-standard architecture, surrounded by a pine forest, opens the door for us, and the first impression of seeing the camp area is wow - like sanatorium !! 💖
Inside, the plants flourish, and a huge lodge (here we will be visited by frequent guests, educators) is surrounded by stairs and the second floor is for the children's accommodation.
The volunteers will be accommodated on the third floor in a room with single beds.
We will eat in the canteen 4 times per day (breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner). The food - like at home with unlimited portions or quantities.

Krakiai is close to a very nice touristic town Telsiai (~40 min by car), which is worth visiting. Also, it doesn't take long to reach the Baltic Sea from there, to visit Palanga (~1 hours 30 min by car or public transport). The capital Vilnius is a little bit further away - ~3,5 hours, but it can also be easily reached by car or by public transport, just like the other places.
