Time always goes by fast and by the time we got to know each other, her time ended.
The kids liked her and we were very happy having her with us for a while.

This was my first time "workawaying". I stayed with Peter and his two kids for about 2 months. This was post covid (Jan-March 2021). Life was so uncertain back then. He was nice enough to accept my request kind of last minute.
They are a very kind family. I remember them being fun, goofy and very relaxed. They made me feel like home.

I helped doing some regular daily chores and in the afternoons I helped Chloe with some homework (reading or enforcing their German). Dylan is so respectful and always studying and busy with school projects.
I cooked a few times traditional Mexican dishes and I was very glad they liked them.
We took a couple of trips to NYC and visit comic stores and had a great time together.
I will always be so thankful for that time we spent. Peter, Chloe and Dylan were my first time workawaying and forever will have them in my heart.

Gaia stayed with us for 10 weeks.
She was a great help. She worked with my kids, studying German language and

… read more most of his time on his own and with his friends, which is why I spent the most time with Chloe: I helped her with her homework and her daily tasks, besides that we got really creative doing arts & crafts, inventing games, singing, playing in the backyard or riding the bikes and just goofing around. Chloe is really outgoing and fun.
In my free time - which I had a lot of - I discovered the area, went to NYC a couple of times by train (the station is within walking distance) and even went on a roadtrip to Pennsylvania with my friends.
Peter is really helpful and understanding with everything; there is always a relaxed atmosphere in the house and working didn't feel like working, but more like just being a part of the family. (Well, since the cat Lulu chose me as her personal food servant, I had to endure a lot of meowing throughout the day...)
