Hi! :)
I am usually in and out of the country so when I am gone will need you to take care of our dog Bigotes. Basically just feeding him, hanging out with him outside and inside, making sure he has fresh water every day and giving him lots of love. You will get a nice private bedroom with shared bathroom. Hot water, wifi (Fiber optic) and basic accommodations.
This farm has a natural forest where you can walk through water springs and creeks and escalate a mountain to see from a viewpoint, you can also learn Spanish by exchanging knowledge with our family and other locals. You can enjoy helping my cousin with organic farming. We are close to national parks and hot water springs where you can enjoy nature.
We have a gardener to give maintenance to the garden, you will actively participate helping him to keep it beautiful. We have a maid for deep cleaning when necessary but workawayers are expected to keep the house clean, doing the dishes and doing laundry to have all beds ready to be use by our guests. We may receive guests at any time either from family or friends or from Home Exchangeand or other apps.
The free days are Thursday and Sunday and after doing the required activities at the farm, you can enjoy hiking in or near the farm or sharing with my family projects across the street. You are expected to sleep at home every night unless coordinated in advance.
There is a farmers market in downtown every Thursday afternoon with fresh produce at excellent prices.
Uber works perfectly in town.
We are a very happy and energetic family, when I am home we usually have friends over, parties and bonfires-- workawayers are welcome to participate.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

We are located 1.5 hrs from the airport in San Jose and 40 minutes from Arenal Volcano. We also have a beautiful waterfall 6km from our property.
We have a fresh water spring and nice river about 5 minutes walking from home.
Downtown is a 30minute walk or 7 minute uber ride. You can find anything from McDonald’s to movie theaters to shopping centres and local markets.
The northern area is very diverse, you will be able to see the cloud forest in Platanar Volcano at Juan Castro Blanco National Park at only 5 kms away from our place, in San Vicente, a very nice small mountain village with very friendly people.
You can also enjoy Quesada downtown that is a busy, clean and nice city at only 2 miles away, there you can visit the farmer's market every Thursday afternoon, butcher shops, bakeries, the Central Market , Wal-Mart or other local supermarkets and the beautiful Church with the biggest Christ you have ever seen, do not forget to eat some local tacos at Viquez window on the south side of the Church across the street; there are also good hospital facilities and pharmacies in case you need them.
You can also go to nearby (10 Kms) thermal water spring for local's price ($10 for Hotel El Tucano from 5 PM to 10 PM or $20 for all day since 10 AM or Hotel Termales del Bosque for $12 since 10 AM to 10 PM), there is also a Zoo in La Marina very close to the springs.
Another beautiful place to visit is Bajos del Toro where you will find stunning waterfalls.
Then the jewel of the trip for tourists, La Fortuna at 46 Kms that is home of the famous Arenal Volcano with multiple adventure options for kids and adults (Zip lines, thermal water pools and hanging bridges, etc.), try luch at Rufino's Restaurant the best in town and visit the great waterfall at Río Fortuna, no need to take a tour, you get directly to the place and buy your entrance. If you like adventure you should not miss the white water rafting activities at Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí at 40Kms. There are other options further away (2 to 3 hours away) like El Venado Caves, Río Celeste or Laguna de Caño Negro within many more options or you can go to the beach in the Pacific to Playa Blanca or Jacó.
Feel free to visit our family farm to table Restaurant just across the street from our farm, it is open from Wednesday to Sunday for lunch, coffee and dinner, you can also coordinate a visit to the organic vegetable garden and the dairy and chesse factory.Un poco más de información

The house is great with a lot to do.
We had to maintain this big house, within a month only 3 guests came as it was the rainy season.
The family farm is right next door and we went to help them in different areas (making cheese, gardening or helping in the cactus greenhouse).
