OPEN AVAILABILITY - ALL DATES
We are looking for a massage therapist/bodywork specialist/chef/videographer/content editor to stay with us & relax on our beautiful property! No other tasks required except keeping your space clean - please send social media/portfolio if you would like to apply for this :)

We (Meli & Yura) are often away for work & looking for long-term care (1 month min.) for our beautiful log cabin & dogs (Bigotes & Sunny, both 15y/o).
Bigotes (medium blk/tan) is a farm dog & is very autonomous. He loves hikes & cuddles & can be left unattended without supervision.
Sunny (small ivory/brwn), is a city dog who came to the mountains to retire. He has special needs and requires 100% attention. Sunny is blind & cannot be left alone because he gets lost easily. He is super sweet & loves to cuddle/sleep all day long. Sunny loves to join all human adventures via backpack. <3

•there may be guests with advance notice
•all communication made via WhatsApp
•must sleep at home every night
•trips away can be coordinated at least 2 weeks in advance (long-term stays only)
•Uber is accessible in town

You will get to know the local side of Costa Rica and immerse yourselves in the culture. We are right below the Juan Castro Blanco National Park and are surrounded by the most beautiful scenery to be found anywhere. Waterfall 6km away. Hot Springs, volcanoes etc. Visit my uncle next door and his amazing farm to table restaurant or volunteer at their farm and make cheese or help with the vegetable garden! San Jose airport is 1 1/2 hrs away and La Fortuna/Arenal 40 minutes.

Please only apply if:
- There are TWO people (age 25+) who are able to travel together.
- You both are able to give a commitment for a minimum of 1 month stay.
- You both carry Travel Insurance.
Spanish speaking is an asset when considering applications, but is not a requirement.
Due to a high number of applications, we may not be able to reply to each application individually, so please only apply if you have the relevant skills and experience that we require.

We are located 1.5 hrs from the airport in San Jose and 40 minutes from Arenal Volcano. We also have a beautiful waterfall 6km from our property.
We have a fresh water spring and nice river about 5 minutes walking from home.
Downtown is a 30minute walk or 7 minute uber ride. You can find anything from McDonald’s to movie theaters to shopping centres and local markets.
The northern area is very diverse, you will be able to see the cloud forest in Platanar Volcano at Juan Castro Blanco National Park at only 5 kms away from our place, in San Vicente, a very nice small mountain village with very friendly people.
You can also enjoy Quesada downtown that is a busy, clean and nice city at only 2 miles away, there you can visit the farmer's market every Thursday afternoon, butcher shops, bakeries, the Central Market , Wal-Mart or other local supermarkets and the beautiful Church with the biggest Christ you have ever seen, do not forget to eat some local tacos at Viquez window on the south side of the Church across the street; there are also good hospital facilities and pharmacies in case you need them.
You can also go to nearby (10 Kms) thermal water spring for local's price ($10 for Hotel El Tucano from 5 PM to 10 PM or $20 for all day since 10 AM or Hotel Termales del Bosque for $12 since 10 AM to 10 PM), there is also a Zoo in La Marina very close to the springs.
Another beautiful place to visit is Bajos del Toro where you will find stunning waterfalls.
Then the jewel of the trip for tourists, La Fortuna at 46 Kms that is home of the famous Arenal Volcano with multiple adventure options for kids and adults (Zip lines, thermal water pools and hanging bridges, etc.), try luch at Rufino's Restaurant the best in town and visit the great waterfall at Río Fortuna, no need to take a tour, you get directly to the place and buy your entrance. If you like adventure you should not miss the white water rafting activities at Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí at 40Kms. There are other options further away (2 to 3 hours away) like El Venado Caves, Río Celeste or Laguna de Caño Negro within many more options or you can go to the beach in the Pacific to Playa Blanca or Jacó.
Feel free to visit our family farm to table Restaurant just across the street from our farm, it is open from Wednesday to Sunday for lunch, coffee and dinner, you can also coordinate a visit to the organic vegetable garden and the dairy and chesse factory.

Digital nomads are welcome, we have fiber optic wifi that works very well. There is a big office space or you can select the place of your preference to enjoy the amazing views.
