  We have more than 5 years experience of hosting guests in our small guesthouse. Right before the pandemic, we decided to take a break... then the covid-19 happened! After 3 years of break, we finally decided to build a cozy eco-homestay in a dreamy land.
  
  Previously, we were running an AirBnB with the capacity only for 6 - 11 people, located in the center and south part of Yogyakarta. During our amazing time hosting the hundred of travelers all around the world, at least from 60 countries, we have experienced all wonderful moments of showing people the beauty of Yogyakarta, its hospitality and the charm. We would like to share this beautiful experience with you. Now in the new chapter, we want to host volunteer who can help us building the house (almost) from scratch! The work will include maintaining the garden / land, initiating the permaculture project, building the kitchen, installing electricity, helping with interior, and constructing.
  
  Our eco-home is a wooden structured, it is a mixed between simple traditional Javanese village house with a touch of modernity. It is a perfect place for meditation and contemplation, or working from your computer! If you are looking for something different, this area is the place to discover hidden gems; caves, waterfalls, coastlines, hiking spots... or simply enjoying the beautiful village life on the hill.
  
  About us:
  We are a couple who decided to live in Yogyakarta. Jess is a humanitarian worker specializing in disaster risk reduction and Nico is an architect who has passion in hospitality. We both love traveling and understand the feeling of longing for home. That's why we decided to run a homey guesthouse / hostel / homestay / airBnB to provide home for travelers.
  
  Please read this description before sending us message: as we are selective in hosting the volunteer from Workaway, please send us personal message describing yourself and why you want to stay and help us. We understand the feeling of being far away from home, that is why we offer our place to slow down for a while.   You will experience living in the rural village area and have interactions directly with the villagers.

  We are looking for one person, minimum 26 years old, who is friendly, easygoing, positive mind, and polite, willing to help about 4-5 hours/day in a very relaxed atmosphere.
  
  - preferable if you are a backpacker, adventurous, hard worker, independent, responsible, can drive a scooter / motorcycle (because the place is quite secluded), and comfortable to stay in the nature with the wildlife (monkeys, bugs, birds, lizards);
  
  List of helps needed (please send us message if you can do at least 3) :
  - having set of skills as either carpenter / house builder / gardener / electricians;
  - experience first hand building a house / eco-home;
  - know how to initiate a permaculture project;
  - creative mind: make social media posts, documenting the process of building the house;
  - basic general cleaning: clean the house and surroundings;
  - taking care of the house;
  - climbing coconut trees :D
  
  PERIOD OF STAY
  If you feel comfortable with the task and we feel the good energy, the period of stay is around 2 weeks up to 1 month. Positive, honest, and solution oriented.

  Alojamiento

  - an under construction quiet wooden house with breathtaking view, located in the hill in the village, easy access to basic things, 10 minutes motorbike drive to the beach;
  - the upper living floor is ready to stay (as in the pictures);
  - basic facilities (toilet, bucket of water shower, electricity);
  - there is no wifi, but a SIM card internet works perfectly here.

  If you love the beach and discovering the nature, our place is perfect for you. During the day-off or evening time you can go discover surroundings in Yogyakarta. Our place is 10 minutes drive to the closest beach and around 30 minutes to other beaches. It is around 45 minutes - 1 hour drive to the city center, temples, and airport.
