Descripción
We live in a family farm in the process of becoming a Eco-resort. We are a mixed German/Portuguese family with two children (10 and 7 years old), two dogs and two cats. We are currently building a series of small buildings to host ecotourists and helpers in the project, as well as a bigger family house.
The farm has one main house (that hosts 2 families) and the Eco-resort area with an outdoor kitchen, a swimming pool, a badminton court, a tipi tent with fireplace, 2 bungalows, a geodesic dome and other small buildings currently under construction.
The location is perfect for somebody that is looking for a place in the nature but close to the city (25Km from Porto) and to the beach (river and sea).

Besides enjoying this beautiful place, travellers can expect to learn about varied construction, live in a multilingual environment (Portuguese, German and English) and learn some useful things, like cooking in solar oven, bread making in cob oven, etc.

Our project is getting ready to receive tourists. The farm has 3 hectares and demands lots of maintaining. So maintenance work is one of the main job.
Help in construction is needed, that includes hard and dirty work!
Sometimes we are away, so help is also needed taking care of the pets and maintaining the crops, etc.

There are two bungalows, a geodesic dome and a tipi. Where you will sleep depends on what is free at that moment.
We cook one meal a day and offer basic ingredients for breakfast. Sometimes you might need to take care of yourself, because we are out, or to cook for us because we are busy.

Because the farm is located in a very small village, there are only two buses a day from and to Porto. It's quite an adventure to move around with public transport. Around 7 km to the village there is a bigger one that has supermarket and more transport possibilities. There are some nice paths for taking walks. The beach (sea) is reachable from Porto. Closer to here there is also a river beach (by bike). Several sightseeing spots are also around, with tracking paths and lots of nature. Possibilities include hiking, surfing, bicycle riding, swimming, etc.
We have got two older bikes that can be used.
We are looking for independent people who aren't afraid of hard work, who work with their hands and head!

After some days of porto, arriving in the calm countryside felt like coming home. The family is very welcoming and I'm gonna miss the consistent 12/10 food.
