If you want to experience a real canadian lifestyle: this family are the perfect address! We had an amazing time with this hockeycrazy, chaotic and lovely family! Every day was a new adventure and we were part of the family from the first day. They showed us everything: snowshoeing, snowmobiling, a real canadian christmas, ... we met their friends
… read more and family and felt like a part of the community. Moreover the countryside is a wonderful place to go hiking, seeing a lot of deepblue lakes or impressive mountains. The time I spent here was just amazing. I stayed with them for two month and at the end it felt like I’m saying goodbye to my own home. Jeannine and Liam taught me so much about life and always supported me. They took me to every event and party if it was possible and made sure I had a great time. Also the kids are really special starting with
… read more Tate who’s extremely passionate about his hockey and always in a good mood, dancing and just making my day even better. Charlie, who became the little sister I never had and inspiring me a lot with all the things she does and her points of view in life. She’s a really smart and crazy girl that has so much love for the people in her life. And then of course Tucker, my daily reminder to stay calm even if it’s not always easy. This boy is really special and to be honest I didn’t fully understand his Charakter till the end. At the one moment he really drives you crazy and then a few seconds later he’s honestly the cutest and nicest kid on earth.
I can just say that they are a great family and that I miss them (including George and Eddie) a lot and I’m planning on coming back, so get ready!
And now I’m starting to cry again so this feedback will end here haha.

So after almost 3 weeks since I left I finally found the time to leave you a feedback, and I don‘t even know where to start...
What a lovely family!
I spent almost two weeks with them and would have loved to stay even longer, but I already had a flight booked.
The moment I walked into the O‘Brien‘s house it felt like home. A really nice and cozy
… read more house in a beautiful area!
The kids are absolutely lovely and even though I was a little scared at first that three kids would be „too much“, it turned out that it was perfectly fine.
Tate the oldest one is a really kind 11 year old that truly LOVES hockey and lacrosse, Charlie their 9 year old daughter became like a younger sister to me, we had tons of fun doing gymnastics and bath salt together or just talking about girly things. And then theres the youngest one: Tucker. He always made sure to let me know if I made any mistakes in English, but in a really cute way; and hes genereally just cute, don‘t even really know what it is :D
Also Liam and Jeannine are two super kind people and they always made sure I had everything I needed, introduced me to all their friends, took me with them to BBQs and pool parties which I absolutely loved! And not to forget about George and Eddie their cat and dog who are also adorable!
During my time there I painted the „black room“ white, so if you‘ll be their future workaway you will have a nice room to stay in ;-). Furthermore I took care of the kids and prepared some dinners when Jeannine and Liam weren‘t home and also took Eddie for a walk every morning.
The time I spent at the O‘Brien family is for sure one of the best times in Canada I had and a time I will always remember. So if you think about becoming their next workaway I can only encourage you to do so, you will love it!
