Two years ago, I bought and old house built in 1912. It's a renovation project in the historic Townsite of Powell River. I live here with my two children most of the time. When there is no school, we love to go on adventures and do fun stuff with our friends like attending community events, going on a hike or on the water. There is so much to discover around here..

Powell River offers unspoiled wilderness beauty, endless ocean vistas and more than 36 lakes in temperate rainforest to explore. Here you will find friendly locals, unique neighbourhoods and a wide variety of events and art venues to keep you entertained. The Historic Townsite represents one of very few National Historic Districts in Western Canada, each home or business with stories to tell...
I am originally from Quebec and I’ve been living in BC for almost 20 years . My kids were born here and are fluent in French and English. We love to spend time with friends, share meals and play music. We like to go to markets and attend community events! We are open minded people!Proyectos con niños

Ayuda
Help might include, gardening, landscaping, fence building. About the house, we will find something that you will enjoy doing and at your skill level. It might include painting, sanding, woodwork… it might be helping alongside with a local tradesperson for some projects. Artists welcome! We can get creative on many levels in this project! If you want to learn about food preserving and are coming at the right time of the year (summer and fall) we can do a lot of that too. I love everything about food (growing, processing and eating)!

I remember what it’s like to learn a new language. My mother tongue is French and I learned English as an adult when I started travelling and now live in an English community. I spent a few months in Mexico à long time ago so my Spanish is a little bit rusty but I’m sure it still there. I would be happy to practice!Alojamiento
Workawayers will stay in their own bedroom with a huge closet, a dresser and a queen size bed. There is four bedrooms in the house and we all share the same bathroom with a shower and old clawfoot tub! We eat local fruits and vegetables as much as we can and mostly organic foods. I love to cook and share meals with friends and family and I am inviting other cooks!
