Volunteering with us means joining a hands-on project where you’re not just helping—you’re contributing to climate action and the creation of a sustainable homestead in the Colombian jungle. Together we’re building something meaningful: an off-grid, permaculture-inspired homestay and co-living hostel that blends community, nature, and positive impact.
You’ll play a real role in developing eco-infrastructure and improving systems that help us live more lightly on the earth. From natural building and gardening to carpentry, painting, plumbing, or even helping with marketing and hospitality—you’ll gain practical skills and see your efforts directly shape the space. Your time here leaves the land, the community, and yourself better than before.
We are an outgoing, honest, and creative couple from the U.S. who left city life to pursue a more regenerative way of living. Between us, we bring experience in hospitality, project management, construction, marketing, photography, yoga, and more. We care deeply about climate change and believe in being part of the solution, not the problem. Our homestead sits on 5 acres of productive land just outside Tayrona National Park, less than 2 km from the Calabazo entrance, and only about an hour by public bus from Santa Marta. The property feels remote and wild yet is very accessible—a balance that makes it unique.
Life here is simple, collaborative, and social. You’ll share meals, projects, music, and stories with us, fellow volunteers, and guests. Expect hammocks under the trees, monkeys in the canopy, bonfires at night, yoga sessions, and the kind of deep conversations that only seem to happen when you disconnect from the noise of modern life.
We see volunteers as teammates and family. We listen to your input, we work side by side, and we celebrate progress together. We love DIY projects, upcycling, and finding creative solutions, and we’re excited to learn from your skills and ideas too.
We also have two children living in California and love spending time with visiting families, kids, and anyone who wants to learn through doing. Wildlife and animals are part of our life here as well.
This is a place for those who want to live simply, learn new skills, and leave their mark on something lasting. If you’re passionate about sustainability, curious about community living, and eager to grow—this place will feel like homeTipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje
