We have a small family food café/bistro in the lovely Island of Andros in the Cyclades. We are a family of three. Our son is 13 years old very sociable but still too young to help us.
The Aegean Islands have many International visitors and we decided this year to get somebody sociable with good communication skills to help us with our café welcoming seating and if necessary socializing with our non Greek speaking customers in the evening.

You will have the opportunity to learn how a small café/bistro is managed and gain experience in Hospitality and Tourism. The village is so small and personal that you will have the possibility to interact not only with us but many other people every day and get involved with local culture and customs. We are dedicated to make everyone feel as part of our family so by coming here you will enjoy a new home away from home. The Hostel where you will stay gets quite busy so you will have the opportunity to live with other young people and make new International friends. The owner is very sociable and welcoming with many tips about things you can do around the Island and he shares them with everyone.

We do not expect you to serve or do other kitchen etc work since other people will manage these tasks. In the morning we ask you to do some light cleaning at the flat above our cafe or wherever else you will be staying and the evening you will spend a few hours welcoming International guests telling them about the menu etc. For the hours worked minimum Greek hourly wage is offered.

Andros is a great destination in the Cyclades 2 hours boat trip from the mainland and two hours boat trip from Mykonos. Andros is very well known for it's hiking routes and around our café there are many beaches within walking distance. Outside working hours you can sit at our cafe. (if space is available) There are also plenty of spaces to sit and work at the place you will be staying.
