Stay safe and healthy out there. Summer is coming!! :)
Hello potential guest. We are be seeking some help around the house with different projects, big and small, yardwork, renovations, etc. Once the warmer weather comes we look forward to hosting one super chill and cool workawayer. Helping me with looking after, spending time with, and training my overactive and naughty puppy would be a bonus. :) Plans for this year are to do some grounds keeping and landscaping, some roof line work, insulating and vapor barriering my crawlspace, and whatever other mischief we can get up too in this old house.
I am still actively checking my messages so if you all want to book early that is more then welcome.
I am an amateur metal caster so if you wish to learn with me we can work together and make some interesting brass, copper, and aluminum casts. Bronze will come soon, though this is an outdoor hobby and very weather dependent.
Our guest must be a motivated yet relaxed person(s) who can help 1 hour a day. Mon-Fri. Weekends are your own. Due to some of the work involving a crawlspace if you have problems with somewhat confined spaces it would be best to communicate that beforehand so we can figure things out.
No couch surfers please.
I am a retired government employee, military and police. I am not affiliated with any organization. I live in an eighteenth century Victorian home that needs assistance in finishing projects so that I can enjoy it more. Can't wait to meet you. I have a dog. (We)
Due to the progressive nature of our current government, food prices are way to high to contemplate the usual room and board routine, As such, a future guest must be able to cover that cost themselves. In return I have lowered the usual 3-5 hours work a day to 1 hour a day. I understand that this may limit any interested parties but I am hoping there is a niche group of intrepid travellers who value new places and cultures. I have always kept a quiet and low stress environment so this may be a good fit. Hope to talk soon.

Napanee is a small town and very quiet. Some local sights along the river. All manner of shopping within walking distance.
Perspective volunteers should be willing to share experiences of life and conversation. I have done this for a few years and feel that sharing our cultural experiences and values to be so very important and enlightening. Sure we all enjoy our private and quiet time but interaction is great as well.
Social drinking permitted. Smokers welcome but outside please. I am a smoker but always outdoors when guests are here.
Nearest airport is in Toronto. (Pearson) I would be happy to meet you in a nearby town (Belleville/Kingston) and drive you here and getting you back to a train/bus station for your departure. If you choose to fly in to Ottawa I can pick you up in Kingston. Also, as it turns out some buses and trains come to Napanee as well so if you can get one of those it will be a bonus. -

Laura is a very respectful workawayer who settled into our home well. She accomplished tasks well and worked hard to their completion. I would recommend Laura as I found her to be honest and trustworthy. The huge purple spongeawashamathingy was also amusing. :)
