Descripción
We are a dairy farming family in South Otago. We milk 500 cows through a 54 bale rotary shed on a 170 ha milking platform. We have a 85 ha run-off nearby where we winter the cows and grow the young stock.
Phil works full time on the farm along with our son and one other staff member. Anne rears the calves, helps with herd testing and does the office work.

Living and working on a New Zealand dairy farm surrounded by beautiful rolling hills. There is so much to learn on a dairy farm at calving and cows are lovely animals to work with. No previous farming experience is necessary as full training will be given.
Ayuda
Over calving (August/September) we would like assistance with milking and general farm work for approx. 5 hrs per day. The majority of this time would be spent in the cow shed.

We live approx. one hr south of Dunedin Airport, 15 mins south of Balclutha and 35 mins north of Gore. The Catlins are 20 minutes east where you can capture stunning coastal views and enjoy short bush walks. Central Otago is only a couple of hours away with magnificent scenery of mountains and lakes.
We enjoy meeting people from other countries. Anne travelled and worked in London many moons ago! We have hosted farm staff from other countries on several occasions and have had some great experiences.

I was made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
Communication was good as was my accommodation and the food.
