  We are a family of german and mexican origin. We live in the Monferrato area of Italy on an old house in the hills. Our family consists of an 8 year old and a 2 year old, a 2 year old english setter dog (and probably more coming). Our house is divided in two parts, one is the newer part which we are renovating, and the old part, we are also working on it. We want to bring animals and run our vegetable garden, do forestry (we own 13 hectares of land). Our house is in a very quiet and peaceful hill, yet with great access to transport, and groceries. We have olive tress to take care off, and we spend our days making music in the studio at the old house, doing yoga and walks through the forest. The area and our neighbours are specialised in natural wine production, It has very beautiful defined four seasons, as it is located between the Alps and Apennines. There is a community based on a Waldorf school, where our 8yo. attends, comprised of people from all over the world, so there is constant social activities and interesting events organised by the members of the community. Ideally who ever joins us, loves and plays music instruments, loves animals and nature. We speak italian, english, german, spanish and french at home due to our work and the nature of the family.

  With us you can definitely practice any of the languages above, specially german, spanish and italian. Our builder is constantly guiding us to build and renovate, providing tools and knowledge, so that is a great chance to learn how to build a concrete floor, insulate roofs, work on very old buildings and generally be creative at solving technical problems with the elements at hand. If you are interested in music, we have a music studio where mostly we do composition, sometimes recording and DAW editing, Pro Tools, Logic, modular synthesis and sound design. There's a lot of Yoga activities in the house and the community, mostly organised by us too.

  Ayuda

  We would love to set up our place to have donkeys and other animals, so there's a bit of creative building to do, as we are on a hilly terrain. There are renovation projects going on, done by ourselves with the guidance of a local builder who is very generous with his knowledge, so you can learn the local way of doing things in a great and friendly environment. Our kids are in daycare and school but sometimes we need helo either by being with them or teaching them a bit of music or arts. There's a bit of gardening, vegetable garden care, animal care and cooking to do, but we all participate on it, so it is just helping out with the whole load of work as a team. We love to jump in the pool several times a day, cook, grilling, wine drinking and hikes.

  Alojamiento

  Bedroom with bathroom, on a separate part of the house. Kitchenette included. Matrimonial size bed in excellent condition, the room is approx 3 x 4.5 with a vaulted ceiling, old italian farm style. Meals are together with the family or separate if preferred, we are totally flexible on that sense but very happy to sit all together and share.

  If you have a driver's license, and are above 26 years old, we can provide our Fiat Panda car for certain activities which are not so far from here and don't require a car for several days. Short trips, train station drives and such are no problem. We can also provide bikes if preferred. We are located at a great wine area, so wine enthusiasts will be right at home here. We are at one hour from the center of Turin, and one nd quarter from Milan. Half an hour away there's the Vercelli train station with connection to main european lines. Genova is 1:15 south, there's a surf spot at Recco, an hour and half away from here. There are many waterfalls and streams with pools in the Alessandria area too. In the near vicinity one can hike. During autumn, one can also join a truffle hunt, as it is typical in Piedmont.
