  Hi! I’m Eugenia. I’d like to learn English and French, and I’d really love your help.
  I live in a small inland village in Sardinia called Nule, about 60 km from the east coast and 80 km from the west coast. Just 7 km from here, there are natural hot springs that are free to access.
  
  My work involves designing and creating handmade rugs using Sardinian wool, and I’m constantly learning about traditional weaving and natural dyeing techniques using a vertical loom.

  At my place, cultural exchange happens through daily life, craft, and conversation. You can learn about Sardinian traditions, especially handweaving on a vertical loom, and experience the rhythms of village life in Nule, which has a long tradition of handmade rug making. We can visit nearby natural hot springs, cook local dishes, explore archaeological sites, and share stories. I’m also open to your suggestions. I’m happy to teach what I know and equally curious to learn from your culture and language!

  The help I need is to practice the English language in daily exchange. The meals will be those that I make mainly related to the customs of the place where I live, made of shepherding. Many local cheeses and vegetables. I confirm that I do not want any help in my work. I will be open to share any questions, curiosities and to meet special needs of the guest.

  My English is still very basic, and that’s why I want to improve it. At the moment, I can’t have full or complex conversations yet, but I’ve been studying for some time and really need to practice. I might need to use an online translator if the conversation is difficult at the beginning. I hope that’s okay!

  Alojamiento

  The house is a three-story granite building from the early 1930s. I offer a room with two beds and access to the various shared spaces in the house.
  The house has a large courtyard and overlooks a small square in the historic center of the village. There’s a spacious kitchen, a living area, a weaving studio, and other rooms. Some friendly cats live in the courtyard!

  I’m a very open and cheerful person, and I enjoy spending time with others. I love sharing and connecting. For me, it’s important to find someone who is tidy, transparent, and respectful and who has a bit of patience with my limited English! :)

  The house doesn’t have unlimited Wi-Fi, but there is mobile internet with a limited amount of data available. You can use a hotspot for basic tasks like emails or messages, though for more stable work, it’s probably best to use your own hotspot. The house has a peaceful atmosphere with quiet corners and a desk or table where you can work comfortably. The surrounding area is perfect for nature breaks, with nearby hot springs, countryside walks that I’ll be happy to join you on, and a slower pace of life that helps you recharge.
