Carlos didn't just look after Emiliano, he was so proactive, always offering help with other tasks such as organizing the house, the toys, even arranging furniture around the house to make it feel more Zen.
We also enjoyed delicious Brazilian food, music and we learnt so much about the culture and how beautiful this country is. We would love one day to visit.
Overall we can't say how much he always made us laugh with his great sense of humour and he kept us smiling throughout a very grey and wet August. We enjoyed so much our little outings to the pub as a family and share with Carlos as much as we could of the English life.
We can't not recommend him enough! We didn't want him to go!
Carlos is a friend now and he will be always very welcome to come back!!

I was sure I would like to be with this family from the first time I read their profile. Something told me it would be good to do a workexchange with them - but I didn't realise it would be so amazing.
I was there for almost a month, which was quick, but it also gave me the feeling of being there much longer, because we had a real and deep

To say that the accommodation, location, hospitality and food are great is the least I can do. But I would prefer talk more about how special this family is. Sam, Maritza and Emiliano are part of my life forever.
Looking after Emiliano was one of the most enchanting experiences I could have had. We connected from the very first moment and were able to enjoy incredible moments: going to the park in the mornings to walk, play, picnic, eat ice cream, feed the ducks; having fun and dancing a lot at home to our favourite songs; baking delicious cakes; drawing and playing indoors or in the garden.
I started to miss it as soon as I realised it was coming to an end.
With Sam and Maritza I was able to have incredible conversations about life, our emotions, professional careers and culture. With them I was able to improve my English a lot. Going to the pub with them and cycling around the city made me love Bristol even more. They have always been very welcoming, kind, friendly and fun.
I'm very grateful that you opened the door to your home and allowed me to be part of the very real and special family that you are.

From the moment Octavio arrived he felt like one of the family. He immediately established a bond with our son and their relationship developed happily and trusting over the time he stayed with us. He was very organised, proactive and willing to learn new things, embracing the English way of life, culture and food (jacket potatoes and baked
… read more beans!) He arrived not eating chilli and left loving Mexican spicy food!
He wasn't put off by the unpredictable English weather, he always stayed positive and joyful. It felt like we travelled to Argentina through his stories and our lives were enriched by his sharing of his cultural background and travels ( he convinced us to go Andorra).
Anyone who gets to welcome Octavio into their home will be really fortunate!!! We can recommend him unreservedly!

… read more location with easy access to the center. Bristol is great, the graffiti, the streets and even the people are cool, there are many things to do. They have taken me to see several pubs in the city, sports, parks, live music and even to eat with family and friends.
I will miss them very much, their company, the talks of all kinds, the incredible Mexican food that Maritza cooks, Sam's music and the rules of little Emi, who is incredible, has a very positive energy and is very sociable, he is really fun. And also to the partner Frida! She is always next to you, especially if there is food haha.
