Explore Hawaii in exchange for helping us wrap up a handful of home improvement projects we have going on.
During COVID-19 stay at home order, we started quite a few projects that now need to be wrapped up. Do you have carpentry, painting, construction etc. skills, and wish to help us finish up our renovation projects?
Hawaii recently announced that starting Aug. 1, passengers with approved negative COVID-19 tests taken within 72 hours of their trip to Hawaii may bypass the state’s mandatory 14-day self-quarantine for out-of state passengers.
Are you skilled in construction, would you like to hike to waterfalls mountain ridges and valleys, or hang out at white sand beaches, snorkel, kayak or surf?
If yes then this opportunity is for you! Couples are welcome too if the skills are are a good match. A private airconditioned room with a king-size bed is available.
Priority is given to those with construction trade skills.

We enjoy helping travelers make the most of their visit to our beautiful island - showing them our favorite hiking spots, beaches, and farmer's markets. We encourage travelers to immerse themselves in the laid back Island culture of our small beachside town. This is an opportunity to discover the Hawaiian way of life.
We have hosted a handful of travelers and enjoy learning about their culture and hearing stories about their exciting travels around the world. We love to cook and having a chance to share our favorite meals and try those of our travelers is always a fun way to learn about each other's backgrounds.
We are in the midst of handful of renovation projects and our travelers are sure to learn new building skills.
Oahu is a perfect place also to learn how to surf, kayak or snorkel. Our island also offers many opportunities for learning about the rich culture and history of the Hawaiian people. Travelers can visit historical sites around the Island or learn more at the culture and history of the Islands at the Polynesian Cultural Center or at the Bishop Museum.
We are looking for help with the below.
Helping us with some home improvements:
Build a tool room
Build a raised garden
Exterior house painting
Bathroom renovation project
If you are a couple you can work together or divide where one person helps with construction, and the other with cooking and organizing etc.
We follow mainly a Paleo type diet (pasture-raised meat/poultry/eggs, and lots of vegetables). If you are a vegetarian or vegan this will probably not be a good fit as you would need to be comfortable cooking meat.
