It was a good time picking raspberries without rush.Alison and Rob were always helpful and took me to anywhere I would like to go, so I could make some hikes and bike ridings and they showed me beautiful places such as penguins in Burnie.

Alison and her family were wonderful hosts. Despite our inability to help full-time due to our young children (1 and 3 yo), it was not a problem at all. We took turns in the morning picking raspberries, and it turned out to be quite a relaxing experience for us. We spent only 4 days here, but we didn't want to leave. For us and our children, these

Our family enjoyed having Ruth come and stay with us. She picked lots of raspberries for us each day and then made the most of being so close to the beach which she really enjoyed. Ruth is very independent and did not expect to rely on us to entertain her or even provide food (although we are more than happy to provide food to our Workawayers).

Having a conversation with Ruth is good fun and she was able to talk easily to our children and to other people who came and went over the time she stayed with us. It was so helpful for us to have Ruth commit to staying for over a week and we quickly got into a routine of relying on her to help with the picking, as it was peak production time, and she fitted in easily.
We are looking forward to Ruth visiting again!

I had a fabulous time staying with Alison and Rob at Boat Harbour. As previously mentioned, the work is relaxing. I worked at my own pace with or without the extended family of helpers. Sometimes with Trevor (Alison’s dad) or with Rob or Alison. As the season progressed, I found I could work at times which suited me. Somedays I picked in the

The accommodation is charming, with a rustic farmhouse aesthetic. A vase of fresh flowers, a row of books and a bottle of wine greeted me. I had zero complaints with that.
The room is very large for one person, and anyone coming from Europe will find it on par in size to an apartment. There is room for 3 beds, a desk and chairs, an armchair and room to swing a cat.
I am Australian so I took my car along, and mostly chose to cook independently (I liked being at the beach during the day and berry picking in the shade at dusk) but the weather is mild and sunny and anytime is okay for those berries.
I must say I learnt much about country life and growing berries from the family. The two kids Tom and Sophie are super responsible and capable and blew me away with their independence.
You can spend as much or as little time as you would choose too with the family. They were constantly trying to feed me, take me for road trips or pay for accommodation so I could leave early on the ferry. Nothing was too much trouble and their hospitality was second to none.
I am rebooking the Spirit of Tasmania for next summer. This work away offers some gentle exercise and a wonderful beach break over summer. What is not to love!

We really enjoyed having Amanda and Peter stay with us. They worked hard together as a team and got a lot of work done for us which was really helpful. They participated in meals with our family and were good company (both have a good sense of humour which really helps) but were respectful of allowing our family to have our own space when needed.

We really loved this Workaway. Picking raspberries was a lot of fun. The family were a delight to spend time with. Our self-contained unit was ideal for our week stay . We want to come back again next year! Thanks for making us feel so welcome. 😊👍

Anna and Jack arrived before raspberry picking season had begun, but they willingly pitched in and helped with other jobs we gave them. Some of these jobs were dirty and hard work but they did not complain and worked until the task was done.
We had a family birthday during their visit where they used their photography skills to take some beautiful

Anna and Jack are perhaps more shy than they need to be - their English is fluent and they are interesting to talk to when given the opportunity.
We appreciated the work they did for us and hope they continue to have other interesting Workaway experiences.

We spent a week with this amazing family, made us feel at home.
Unfortunately the raspberries were not ready to pick but we helped them with some work in the garden, and was a pleasure work all together. They took us to the beaches near the house and always encouraged us to visit new places. You'll have your own space with everything you need.

We really enjoyed having Bronwyn stay with us. She worked well at picking raspberries each day and was happy to work for longer if the weather or situation required. We felt that she was comfortable with us and didn't mind fitting in with some of our family activities. Bronwyn has thoughtful and educated opinions on politics and current affairs

In addition, being from Maine we didn't have to explain or justify the beautiful clear, but cooler, water we swim in at Boat Harbour Beach!
We would be happy to have Bronwyn back again.

I stayed with Alison, Rob, and their awesome kids for two weeks. This was my first stay through WorkAway, and it was absolutely amazing! Everyone in the family was so welcoming and friendly, and the room I stayed in was very comfortable and had everything I needed. Picking raspberries was easy, relaxing, and enjoyable work, and I usually finished

I could hear the kookaburras calling every night, and I saw SO many wallabies during my stay here. Everyone was always willing to engage with my never-ending stream of questions about local flora and fauna, and we spent many afternoons and evenings solving crosswords, playing games, and chatting about the world. I loved every minute I spent here, and I already miss everyone so much! I can’t recommend this experience enough. Thank you all for everything!! :)Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

We had a lot of fun with Sienna and Angus. They worked diligently each morning to pick raspberries for us and were very easy to get along with. They were very happy to join in with games when our children asked. They both had a nice easy manner that meant the children related well to them both. We'd be happy to have them back again, and we wish

We only stayed with Alison, Rob and the kids for a week but had a really lovely time. We picked raspberries in the morning which was very easy, gentle and enjoyable work, then had the afternoons free to do as we pleased. The family was very accommodating for our dietary needs and we enjoyed cooking with them and eating raspberries together. We had

The surrounding area is beautiful, ideal if you have a car to explore with. Otherwise the veranda is a very inviting place to spend a sunny afternoon and you’ll definitely be joined by someone to help with the quiz or crossword.
We definitely recommend staying here, you’ll have a fantastic time and taste some delicious raspberries.
Thanks again!

It was a pleasure to have Julia stay with us. She carried out the work we required of her alongside us with ease, but also pitched in and helped with other tasks such as preparing meals and washing up whenever needed. She was also polite and well spoken to the various friends and relatives we had staying/visiting with us over the week. We would highly recommend Julia to any other Workaway hosts.

Great experience!
I stayed 6 days with Alison, Robert and their two lovely kiddies. A caring and loving family in a good house with a huge garden and a own big room for the workaway-guests which is provided with all the necessary facilities (like a own bathroom and a little kitchen..).
Alison is an excellent mother, helpful, intelligent and
