  I am looking for people to do a house sitting for at least a week but we can discus a longer term stay. You would be taking care of ducks, geese, chickens and 1 cat. You’ll have the house and 1,5 ha of land to yourself.
  
  It is off grid in a beautiful valley about 7km from a town called Monsanto. (for the sake of having no misunderstandings, it’s the one land inwards and NOT the one close to the coast)
  
  There is solar powered electricity, a freezer you can use to keep your stuff fresh, kitchen to use,..
  
  Your day to day tasks would be opening up the coops in the morning, feeding and cleaning plus refilling the water of the birds and feeding the cat (Luna) and feeding them again in the evening and then closing them up again around sunset so the fox and or martens don’t come and steal them all. And every other few days watering the fruit trees that look a bit thirsty, if the weather goes on like it is looking now that shall be less and less often and less individual trees overal so the ”workload” is quite light and chill. If motivated there are some land management things that can be done so feel free to ask me to make you a free of choice ”to do list”. I have some books in the house that might be of interest. There won’t be internet since that’s a sim card that will travel with me (l’m not giving you acces to my whatsapp and all that am l 🤪)
  
  Toilet is an outdoor compost toilet..
  
  This is more of a you get to stay at a house for ”free” (if you take care of the place) kinda deal rather than a work for food and accomodation deal. You will have eggs from the chickens and I can provide you with some basic food for a couple of days but that would pretty much be it.
  It is also best for someone with a car or some sort of transportation since it’s off grid, the closest shop is 5km away.. Also there is only 1 bus going from here in the morning and 1 comming back this way late noon, the bus stop is also about 3 or 4km from here so not that convenient 🤪
  
  This would be a perfect opportunity for people looking into the possibility if they want to live in this area without having to pay for a place to stay and/or want to get a taste of off grid living..

  I'm Belgian from origin, love to share culture and insights.. l'm also crazy about music.. I can share my insights and knowledge about what l've learned so far..
  If you want peace and quiet, you'll find plenty of that here ☺ the clossest shop is 5 km and it's about 7 km from Monsanto, the most portuguese village in portugal where you have a magnificent view in all directions. The clossest city is castelo branco, about 45min by car.. there is peña garcia lake at about 15 min by car and the spanish border is probably about half n hour away..
  I like to play games or listen to music, go exploring around and so on..
  When l have the time and it's not in the dry season, l love to smoke meat in the smoker and then off course after that: eat very well 👌
  Meat isn't on the menu every day since l'm not self sufficient yet but slowly working towards that..

  Atm l still have a lot of small stuff to be build and a few larger projects like roofs against the house and a shed to be build.. Mostly it will be help with animal care and land management (building soil y'all 😉)

  There's lots of nature to explore right out our doorstep and beyond, a small river passes right true the land, there are rocks and boulders to climb all over the place.
