I stayed in Guillaume's and Christelle's house for one week. I really enjoyed my stay there, as it was a very significant experience for me.
First, because they follow a lifestyle that inspired me a lot. They don't follow the "normal" social norms. They don't have their house super-tidy (they don't really care about that), they don't have a lot
… read more of "typical" food purchasing habits (as they don't go that often to the supermarket and they live from what the garden gives them and from food they bought in a bulk) and they don't have a typical 9 to 5 job with weekends. They follow this philosophy of life that I really liked: they care about what is really important and they don't worry too much about things that the society worries about. This to say that the first impression may be weird but just 2 days with them and you'll feel that the most important they have it a lot (care, love, humanity).
And second the work. The work may get physical but it's super-diverse and with bees there's a lot to learn so it's never boring. If you have a problem with bee stings you should rethink coming here because it will happen for sure. Not to scare anyone because it's not that big of a deal, but it happens and in the end of my week there I had some swelling in my hands and fingers that were not confortable.
I really liked getting to know them, laugh with them, go with them when Christelle went paragliding, playing with little Titouan and learn.
I enjoyed it a lot and I'll return in 2 or 3 months to do another week there for sure! Merci beaucoup!

The two marvelous month I was allowed to spend here flew past. I had a great time helping out for this wonderful, kind host.
Due to the season I did not do a lot of the 'typical' work a beekeeper does; I obviously was aware of that. Due to the one or the other warm day we had though, which made the bees getting active, we did visit some beehives
… read more and I was able to get an idea and learn more about beekeeping. Not due to the season I did get a good taste of the delicious honey. Thank you, dear bees!
The main helpout during my time around the house, or shall I say around le labo, was a pleasure and great fun so as for the gardening. I was able to learn a lot in these fields too.
And not forget to mention what I was able to discouver by putting my hands into making bread, cheese, crème fraîche and yoghurt; a new experience for me.
A beautiful place. Out in the silent nature. I did some easygoing biketours and some extended walks in the closer, impressive region.
Thank you, dear Christelle, Guillaume & Titouan, indeed for this lovely time with you. Your cakes, your heating-oven, your Riz du laits, your 'nous jouons foot', les bronzés, your exotic meal, le labo, your kiwis, your place and your wonderful selfs; all is going to be missed but treasured well in mind.
Merci beaucoup et toutes sortes de bonnes choses!Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

“As you want” - That is what Christelle said when we asked her how to put the clay on her house wall. I think that is how I would summon the one week I spent at this beautiful place. There was an immediate feeling of trust coming from these hosts towards the many workawayers they invited into their homes. I think Guillaume and Christelle are one

I spent my time with them learning a lot about bee-keeping. That was the main activity. But together with the other workawayers I cooked food, did a little of gardening, and also learned how to put some clay-lime mixture inbetween the stonebricks in the wall.
Shortly put, it is a place in a beautiful spot in the forest, with a lot of buzzing work, a lot of freedom and trust.
Unfortunately I had to spend a lot of time with my phone to oganize my next travel, but there is a lot of beautiful nature to see just around the corner, and there was a little cute village some km away, where one could spend time. They also brought me on their trips and activities if I wanted to come.
I could go on and on about this place, even after just one week.
The only thing that was a bit negative for me as a non-french speaking person, was that I felt left out of the conversation a lot of times (when learning about bees in group, or at dinner times), since other workers were all french.
But besides that it was a friendly and hospitable place and people and I would love to come back and visit.
I hope they are well and all the thousands of bees are happy.Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

Guillaume; sos un crack hermano!
Staying in Guillaumes:asterisk_symbol:️s home was so especial to my heart. I learned a lot ; mostly french profunde lifestyle; how to do fromage; creme; tartes; bread and outdoor farm activities. Every moment helping outdoor with Guillaume was an apperitife between adrenaline; fun and hard help (cutting wood;

Guillaume's place was our first experience of Workaways and thank God for it too. He was very easy-going and had a great sense of humour. Some days were longer than the others but we had a great time doing all the activities. We learnt how to make fresh cream, cheese and yogurt.
He was very understanding when I wasn't feeling too great and let me
