  We’re a warm and welcoming family from the Black Forest – my husband, our two adult daughters, and I. My parents-in-law live in the house next door, and our little countryside crew includes three dogs, 14 chickens, and one very cuddly cat.
  
  We’re surrounded by meadows, forests, and beautiful nature – the perfect place for anyone who loves animals, peace, and a simple, genuine lifestyle. We’re happy to welcome friendly, open-minded people who’d like to share and experience life in the countryside with us.

  Wir sind eine herzliche Familie aus dem Schwarzwald – mein Mann, unsere beiden erwachsenen Töchter und ich. Im Haus nebenan wohnen die Schwiegereltern, und zu unserem kleinen Landleben gehören außerdem drei Hunde, 14 Hühner und eine verschmuste Katze.
  
  Wir leben wunderschön, umgeben von Wiesen, Wäldern und ganz viel Natur – perfekt für alle, die Ruhe, Tiere und das echte Leben lieben. Wir freuen uns über liebe, offene Menschen, die Lust haben, unser Leben auf dem Land mitzuerleben.

  With us, you can experience real country life in the beautiful Black Forest. We enjoy spending time together – cooking, chatting, or relaxing in the garden after work. You can learn a lot about animals, especially dogs and chickens, and get a glimpse of life close to nature. We love meeting people from different cultures, exchanging ideas, and being inspired by new experiences.
  
  Interaction with Workawayers
  
  During your stay, you’ll become part of our family life. We usually have dinner together in the evenings, and there’s always time for good talks and laughter. During the day, everyone helps where needed, but there’s also plenty of time to rest, go for walks, or simply enjoy the beautiful nature around us.
  
  Free time and surroundings
  
  Our home is surrounded by meadows, forests, and hiking trails – perfect for walking, cycling, or just relaxing. Nearby you’ll find small villages, local markets, waterfalls, and scenic viewpoints. The famous Titisee is close by – a beautiful lake with plenty of activities. The city of Freiburg is also within easy reach and offers a lovely old town, cozy cafés, and a vibrant cultural scene.
  
  Local culture
  
  The Black Forest is famous for its traditional houses, cuckoo clocks, and regional specialties such as the famous Black Forest cake and homemade jams. If you like, you can even learn how to bake a real Black Forest cake or make your own jam with us. There are also many local festivals and village markets nearby where you can experience regional traditions and local life.
  
  I’m a creative person who loves to share ideas, experiences, and little joys of daily life. We also enjoy meeting people from different cultures and inspiring each other along the way.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten
  
  Bei uns erlebt man das echte Landleben im wunderschönen Schwarzwald. Wir verbringen gerne Zeit miteinander – beim gemeinsamen Kochen, Reden oder einfach beim Entspannen im Garten nach getaner Arbeit. Wer möchte, kann viel über Tiere, insbesondere Hunde und Hühner, lernen und Einblicke in das Leben in der Natur bekommen. Wir freuen uns über den Austausch mit Menschen aus anderen Ländern, über neue Ideen und inspirierende Gespräche.
  
  Zusammenleben mit WorkAwayern
  
  Während des Aufenthalts wird man Teil unseres Familienlebens. Abends essen wir meistens gemeinsam, und es gibt immer Zeit für Gespräche oder gemeinsames Lachen. Tagsüber hilft jeder dort mit, wo Unterstützung gebraucht wird, aber es bleibt auch genug Zeit, um sich zu erholen, spazieren zu gehen oder einfach die Natur zu genießen.
  
  Freizeit und Umgebung
  
  Unser Zuhause ist umgeben von Wiesen, Wäldern und vielen Wanderwegen – perfekt für Spaziergänge, Radtouren oder einfach zum Abschalten. In der Nähe gibt es kleine Dörfer, Wochenmärkte, Wasserfälle und schöne Aussichtspunkte. Besonders bekannt und gut erreichbar ist der Titisee – ein wunderschöner See mit vielen Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Die Stadt Freiburg ist ebenfalls nicht weit entfernt und bietet eine charmante Altstadt, gemütliche Cafés und ein lebendiges kulturelles Leben.
  
  Regionale Kultur
  
  Der Schwarzwald ist bekannt für seine traditionellen Häuser, Kuckucksuhren und regionale Spezialitäten wie die Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte oder hausgemachte Marmeladen. Wer möchte, kann bei uns sogar lernen, wie man eine echte Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte backt oder Marmelade selbst herstellt. In den umliegenden Dörfern finden regelmäßig kleine Feste und Märkte statt, bei denen man die regionale Kultur hautnah erleben kann.

  Ayuda

  We’re happy to have a helping hand with everyday tasks and around the house. This includes caring for our animals (dogs, chickens, and our cat), cleaning the chicken coop, gardening, mowing the lawn, shoveling snow, bringing in firewood, and keeping the stove going. A bit of help in the house or with small handy tasks is also appreciated – just wherever an extra pair of hands is needed.
  
  We like to work together and share ideas – it’s a great way to learn from each other and experience real country life.

  Wir freuen uns über Unterstützung im Alltag und rund ums Haus. Dazu gehören Aufgaben wie die Betreuung unserer Tiere (Hunde, Hühner und Katze), Stallarbeit, Gartenarbeit, Rasen mähen, Schnee schaufeln, Brennholz holen und den Ofen einheizen. Auch kleine handwerkliche Arbeiten oder Hilfe im Haushalt sind willkommen – einfach dort, wo gerade zwei helfende Hände gebraucht werden.
  
  Wir packen gerne gemeinsam an und tauschen uns dabei aus – so kann man voneinander lernen und das Leben auf dem Land wirklich erleben.

  Alojamiento

  Workawayers stay in a separate room that was recently used as a fitness room. It has a sofa bed, TV, treadmill, exercise bike, and cross-trainer – and can easily be arranged as a comfortable bedroom if preferred.
  
  Meals are flexible since we’re working during the day. The fridge is always well stocked, and you’re welcome to help yourself. In the evenings, we usually share a warm meal together, depending on our work schedules.

  WorkAwayer wohnen bei uns in einem separaten Zimmer, das zuletzt als Fitnessraum genutzt wurde. Es ist mit einer Schlafcouch, TV, Laufband, Heimtrainer und Crosstrainer ausgestattet – bei Bedarf kann der Raum natürlich als gemütliches Schlafzimmer eingerichtet werden.
  
  Die Verpflegung ist flexibel, da wir berufstätig sind. Der Kühlschrank ist gut gefüllt, und man kann sich jederzeit bedienen. Abends gibt es meist ein gemeinsames warmes Essen, je nach unseren Arbeitszeiten.

  In your free time, there are plenty of ways to enjoy nature here in the Black Forest – hiking, cycling, or simply exploring the beautiful surroundings. Nearby you’ll find the Titisee, waterfalls, and small traditional Black Forest villages. The city of Freiburg is also worth a visit.
  
  There are often local markets and village festivals where you can taste regional specialties and experience real Black Forest life.
  
  Public transport is limited in the countryside, but I’m happy to give Workawayers a lift to the nearest bus or train station if needed. You can also borrow a bicycle from me to explore the area on your own.

  In der Freizeit gibt es bei uns im Schwarzwald viele Möglichkeiten, die Natur zu genießen, beim Wandern, Radfahren oder Spazierengehen. Besonders schön sind der Titisee, Wasserfälle und kleine Schwarzwalddörfer in der Umgebung. Auch Freiburg ist einen Besuch wert.
  
  In der Umgebung finden regelmäßig Märkte und gemütliche Dorffeste statt, bei denen man regionale Spezialitäten probieren und das Leben hier kennenlernen kann.
  
  Die öffentliche Verkehrsanbindung ist auf dem Land etwas begrenzt, aber auf Wunsch bringe ich WorkAwayer gerne zur nächsten Bus- oder Bahnstation. Wer mag, kann sich auch ein Fahrrad leihweise von mir nehmen, um die Umgebung auf eigene Faust zu erkunden.

  Unser Zuhause liegt ruhig inmitten der Natur – ideal, um konzentriert zu arbeiten und das Landleben zu genießen. WLAN ist vorhanden, allerdings mit begrenzter Geschwindigkeit – echtes Landleben eben. Our home is surrounded by nature – a peaceful place to work and enjoy country life. Wi-Fi is available, but with limited speed – that’s rural life for you.

  Wer mit dem Wohnmobil oder Van unterwegs ist, findet bei uns Platz zum Stehen und kann Strom und Wasser nutzen. Außerdem stehen Terrasse und Garten zur Verfügung, um einfach mal zu entspannen. If you’re traveling with a camper or van, there’s space to park, with access to electricity and water. You’re also welcome to use the terrace and garden to relax and unwind.

  Eigene Haustiere können nach Absprache gerne mitgebracht werden, solange sie sich mit unseren drei Hunden verstehen. Pets are welcome by arrangement, as long as they get along with our three dogs.
