Hi! We are a family of four living on an 11-hectare property near Caacupé (about one hour’s drive from the capital). We lovingly call our home Casa de los Gatos — and the name says it all.
Since we share our space with several cats and three dogs, it’s important to mention that allergies to animals might be a challenge here.
If that’s no issue for you, we’d love to hear from you. Maybe something about our place speaks to you.
You’ll be staying in a guesthouse located within sight of the main house. It includes two rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a terrace — plus a small one-room house with a bathroom next door that’s currently being renovated.
UPDATE March 2026: the small one-room house is done being renovated and offers two beds in one room.
We’ve recently started to transform our land according to permaculture principles. At the moment, we’re caring for the existing trees, expanding our fruit and vegetable gardens, and planning new projects.
There’s also a greenhouse where you can experiment with permaculture or mixed-cropping ideas. Or simply enjoy gardening in your own way.
We’d also appreciate help around the house, in the kitchen, or creative time with our kids.
Caacupé offers beautiful nature, the famous basilica, local cafés, bars, and shops.
On our property, you’ll find lovely walking paths to relax and recharge and when the weather gets hot, you’re welcome to cool off in the pool.
We’re open-minded, flexible, and happy to welcome people who want to help build something together.
There’s always a way to find the right kind of task or project for you.
With two rooms available, the guesthouse is also suitable for a small family or a group of friends.

Hi! Wir sind eine vierköpfige Familie und leben auf einem 11 Hektar großen Grundstück in der Nähe von Caacupé (ca. 1 Stunde Autofahrt bis zur Hauptstadt). Unser Zuhause nennen wir liebevoll Casa de los Gatos — und der Name ist Programm.
Da hier einige Katzen und drei Hunde mit uns leben, ist es wichtig zu wissen: Allergien gegen Katzen oder Hunde wären leider ungünstig.
Wenn dies kein Hindernis darstellt, freuen wir uns, wenn Dich etwas von dem, was hier möglich ist, anspricht.
Die Unterkunft ist ein Gästehaus, das in Sichtweite zum „Haupthaus“ liegt. Es hat zwei Zimmer, Küche, Bad, Terrasse sowie direkt nebenan ein fast entkerntes 1-Zimmer-Bad-Häuschen.
UPDATE März 2026: das kleine 1-Zimmer-Häuschen ist fertiggestellt und bietet zwei Betten
Wir haben vor Kurzem damit begonnen, unser Grundstück nach Prinzipien der Permakultur zu gestalten. Aktuell pflegen wir die bestehenden Bäume, erweitern den Anbau von Obst und Gemüse und planen neue Projekte.
Es gibt außerdem ein Gewächshaus, in dem vorhandene Erfahrungen mit Perma- oder Mischkultur ausgelebt oder Gartenexperimente durchgeführt werden können.
Grundsätzlich würden wir uns auch darüber freuen, wenn jemand Lust hat, sich mit unseren Kindern kreativ zu beschäftigen und im Haushalt/beim Kochen mitmacht.
Caacupé bietet neben Natur auch einige Sehenswürdigkeiten wie die bekannte Basilika sowie Einkaufsmöglichkeiten & Cafés und Bars. Aber auch auf dem Grundstück hier sind schöne Spazierwege zum Erholen und Auftanken und wenn das Wetter schweißtreibend ist, darf natürlich auch der Pool mitgenutzt werden.
Wir sind offen, flexibel und freuen uns über Menschen, die Lust haben, gemeinsam etwas aufzubauen. Irgendetwas Passendes findet sich bestimmt. Da wir zwei Zimmer haben, bietet sich das Gästehaus auch für eine kleine Familie oder eine Gruppe an. Schreibt uns gerne eine Nachricht, wir freuen uns drauf!

For example in Caacupe there is the impressive basilica to visit. The cities of San Bernardino or Piribebuy are easy to reach by cab or bus and in the surroundings there are many hiking destinations.

We can offer a shared co-working space (see picture with cats on the table: without the cats there is space for more laptops) Internet connection is fast and stable most of the time (during heavy rain it can happen that we won't have electricity) --- Wir können eine Co-working-Bereich anbieten (siehe Bild mit den Katzen auf dem Tisch: ohne die Katzen haben auch mehr Laptops Platz) Die meiste Zeit ist die Internetverbindung schnell und stabil (während starken Regens kann allerdings der Strom ausfallen)
