Descripción
We are Mahira & Gerold and we live in Pula in Istria, Croatia.
Mahira is from Bosnia and Gerold from Germany.
Mahira speaks German very well, English and fluently Bosnian and Croatian, of course.
Gerold speaks fluently English and of course German, his Croatian and Bosnian is improving every day.
Since autumn 2023 Gerold is retired and so we decided to move to Croatia, where we bought a groundfloor-flat with garden in a two-families-house in a quiet dead-end-street with own parkingplace.
We both love animals very much, but unfortunately Mahira is allergic against dogs and cats, so we can't have a pet.
Our house is situated 3-4 kilometers away from the city and a short 10 minute car ride or 15 minute bicycle ride to get to the sea (in summertime mostly with bicycle you are faster than with a car ;-)) ).
We prefer vegetarian style, but sometimes we eat a good meat also, organic fruits and vegetables from our yard or market.

We love vegetarian food, we drink tea and coffee or sometimes a good wine.
Religious fanatics and indoctrinated persons will not have a good communication with us, because our vibrations are totally different.
Independent, open-minded, flexible, creative, active, meditative, easy going and free thinking people are welcome.
If you need lot of alcohol, drug addicts and city noise, this is not a place for you, because we are not interested in these subjects, but sometimes we like to join a party with friends of us...!
Ayuda
We have different projects, we can offer to you, but one by one, not all at same time!
Even though Gerold is a very accomplished and experienced DIYer with an extensive pool of tools, energy, flexibility of body and time have been limited (especially since retired), and so any support is welcome!
We would like to have help max. 5 days per week and 3 - 5 hours per day.
If you are an active person and not afraid to sweat and get hands and feet dirty, this is the right place for you.
However, there are also various "normal" tasks that need to be done like cleaning and cooking.
If you identify with this description and are comfortable with it, we would be delighted to invite you to join us.
Also if you are a person with DIY-experience - it could be a very interesting time for you.
If you like and we have a good chemistry with you, we can offer your stay even for a month or more, so you can enjoy the next weeks or longer, the temperatures are still pretty 17 - 19° C and the sea has still temperature of 20° C.
Regarding further details, we can speak on Skype, Signal, Viber, WhatsApp and Telegram.

Alojamiento
You’ll have your own separately room (already renovated!) in a three bedroom flat. We’d share kitchen/dining room and bathroom.
Of course, all meals are included and cooking will be planned in advance as shared cooking.
Cleanliness means a lot! Point of great matter is to clean after yourself, keep the place tidy, have consideration for others and use common sense.
Algo más...
Free unlimited Wi-Fi throughout the flat and even at our veranda is available.
There’s enough movement in and around the house, nevertheless if you’d decide to move around, Pula town-center is ca. 30 min walk away (or ca. 10 min bike ride), the distance to the sea more and less the same.
If you like bicycles and would love to explore some of the best natural bicycle paths in Europe, you will for sure enjoy the area. You can use our bicycles (folding bike or e-bike).

She integrated quickly, tackled all the necessary tasks without waiting long for a prompt or request, and proved to be very practical, thoughtful, and intelligent in everything she did!

I'm so grateful I met Mahira and Gerold, thank you for your hospitality and your warm and welcoming manner. I felt very comfortable with them. I had my own room where I felt at home. The focus of my stay was helping with tidying up the garden shed, renovating small things (chairs) and gardening in the… read more
