Hello! I'm originally from the US, and I really enjoy experiencing other cultures, languages, and foods. I have a range of work experience, including teaching English professionally and managing a small teaching business, computers and spreadsheets, training and supervision in a corporate environment, cleaning apartments and snow removal, and teaching yoga. I’ve also arranged trips and done cooking demonstrations. I’ve lived in New York City, Shanghai, some more rural areas, and most recently in Minnesota in the USA, which has very cold winters and hot, humid summers. I love the outdoors and getting as much exercise as I can. I’m also very adaptable and eager to learn something new. Currently I’ll be in Europe until October, when I’ll move to Southeast Asia until late December or January.

I have 8 years of experience teaching English professionally, both in private classes and in public schools. I've taught hundreds of students of all ages, including young children, teenagers, working professionals, and retirees. I also co-managed a teaching business that employed other teachers at several teaching locations for 3 years. I also love learning languages, especially when I can practice them in context! I learn best by doing, when I am fully engaged.

What else ...
I enjoy cross-country skiing, nature walks and trekking, running, and just traveling and experiencing new places in general. I enjoy camping a lot, although I haven't done as much of it lately as I would like. I also do my best to stay physically fit and eat a healthy diet. I enjoy cooking, so if I can help out with that and maybe learn a few things, I really like that.
