Hello hello,
my name is Leonie, 24 years old, living in Trier (Germany) near the luxembourgian border.

After my first workaway experience on a farm in Sweden in 2019, I am now back on track and want to discover more of Europe.
I am a geography student - no, I can't name you all capitals and flags of the world, but I am working on it ;)

I am a curious, openminded and obliging person even if I might seem a little bit reserved in the beginning (when in groups of new people). But once I am out of my comfort zone, I love good company and to hear about people's culture and their personal stories. I am always in a good mood and optimistic.

Things I love or enjoy: plants, chocolate, podcasts, cats, a cup of tea, good jokes, quizzes, swimming, playing badminton and squash, going for a run, books, cooking and baking, travelling, deep talks (I prefer one to ones to groups)

Interested in: geography, politics, literature, feminism, languages, spacial planning, architecture, sustainability, agriculture, research

When I spend time at a host, of course I will do the best I can to be a good guest and helper. I may not be a professional at cooking and baking but I love it anyway - so I really appreciate preparing meals together and learning new recipes from different countries.

You can see above which categories I have picked but in general I am open to every kind of work. I may not be a pro at some tasks but I am willing to learn and I will always do the best I can ;)

I speak german (mother tongue), english and french (both C1) and a little italian and spanish (both actually B1 but it would need a little refreshment).

In my home town I am involved in some projects for the youth (especially political orientated but also meetings to exchange opinions).

I am a quite creative person who always likes to have new projects or to test new recipes. I did internships in an architect's office, at a carpenter and at a NGO conducting ecology projects.
Added to that, I give private tuition to younger students especially in french.

  I am a vegetarian, so I do not eat meat or fish, and I am trying to reduce my consumption of eggs, cheese and dairy products. But since I am not dogmatic, it is totally okay for me, if you consume any kind of these foods ;)
