Ever since I was a little girl I've loved teaching, so most of my life I've done everything I can to become a teacher. After ending my final internship with a 10/10 score, I started working for that same place. Our team was very active in changing the system in such a way that best fit the kids and their learning style. During this process I've made my own workbooks and took a course in language learning. All of this was a lot of fun and helped me grow a lot as a person.
However, I've always been someone who loves exploring and seeking adventure. My plan was to go traveling after my graduation, but unfortunately Covid got in the way. Now, after three years of working at this school, I've decided that this is the time to do it.

Traveling to me means learning new stories. Stories of countries, places, people, cultures. I love to learn the differences between the way I was raised and all the habits I know and the way someone in a completely different country was raised. I love learning fun facts and the history of a place I go to. Since I'm still young, don't have a mortgage or kids yet I found this to be the perfect time to do so.
The interest in stories stems from my dad who has traveled half the world for work and has told me his adventures.

Education
After primary and middle school I studied to become a primary school teacher in the Netherlands.

I also have a certificate for: Cambridge English level C1, how to give feedback to interns and how to teach kids with ADHD.

Work experience
I have worked various jobs with the main one being a primary school teacher for three years (not including internships).

I've also worked in a nursing home as an assistant in the dementia ward.

Other side jobs I've had are: babysitting, working in a vegetable distribution centre, working at the vegetable department in a supermarket and taking care of my grandparents and their house.

Travel experience
I've always wanted to travel and explore the world. I find learning about and immersing myself in various cultures most interesting. I've traveled alone once before (3 weeks in Greece) and it was a summer which I will never forget. Now I'm looking forward to experience even more of what this planet and the people on it have to offer.

I've done voluteer work in South Africa before where I spent three weeks help building a building in which kids could come together after school to play and enjoy various activities. I've also helped hosting these activities.

Countries I've been before on holiday include: Italy, Belgium, France, Canada, Ireland and Spain.
