Description
I'm Emz, 29, and currently at home in east London, where I help run a bar/club/community space. I also work in art installation and handmake picture frames/jewelry bits/pendants in me and my mate's workshop. I generally like to spend my time tinkering about making things, and I like to be involved in community organising projects concerning different issues around social and environmental justice.
For some time of the year I live and work in London, where I live in a creative artsy warehouse community. For the other months of the year, I spend my time traveling, where I love working in gardens and fields and being in community with people who are making a space their home. I have had many invaluable experiences like this and I am looking foreard to what's to come next.
See you there. xInterests

During the last couple years I’ve mostly spent my time community organising and campaigning in London. This has been full of weird and wonderful experiences and has taught me a lot about the intricacies of organising in a collective, bringing different people and communities together with a collective goal. Solidarity till we die.
The city has been my home for a while but in the end I'm always happiest somewhere among trees. I've spent lots of time in eco villages and working on different permaculture/agriculture/bioconstruction projects in the countryside and that's where I'm headed now! I have passion for and experience in creating, making and building spaces from scratch. I get super excited by everything related to tools, especially woodwork and I'm determined to deepen my carpentry skills. I've worked as a painter/decorator/labourer, so I'm used to getting dirty and working up a sweat.
Last year I did a silversmith course and have since been tinkering about making silver jewelry, especially rings, chainmaking and wax carving. Depending on what is needed at your project or space, I'm excited to bring different things to bring to the table. I've done lots of different forms of work here and there; from all steps involved in living off the land - growing/harvesting/using fruit and veg - preserving ingredients (making jams, pickle, fermentation)... I love food and use it as medicine.
I'm really not shy of giving anything a go and you'll always catch me with a notebook or yoga-mat in my hand. Stretching, yoga and body movement have always been important to me and I'd love to deepen my practice further.
I'd like to get more experience in everything related to wood and metalwork, as well as other artistic practices, as well as getting a deeper understanding of agroecology, agroforestry, syntropic gardening and reforestation. Whatever it is, I'm excited to learn.Age
