I love meeting new people and I am looking to push my limits and try and learn lots of new things. Travelling has always been a priority of mine and I'm delighted to be able to fulfil this dream !

Hello! My name is Amelie and I am an 18 year old English/Belgian girl currently living in Portugal. Last year, I graduated from college and I am now excited to travel the world for two years before going to university somewhere in Europe! My main options right now are either France or Greece, two beautiful countries! I am very lucky to have been brought up with parents for whom travelling was part of their job. I have been travelling and escaping the English winters since I was three months old and therefore have a very strong love for new cultures and places! Nature and animals are two of the most important things to me, and whilst I am excited to try city life having grown up in rurual areas, I love recharging and basking in Nature, it is where I feel most at peace! I am independent and motivated to try anything life throws at me! At the moment, I am really looking to help out with horses! but I love working outside and with my hands.

I have grown up working the English music festivals with my parents and so I am able to work in a busy
(sometimes stressful!) environment with long hours. It means I am experienced at working both with and alongside other people. I also grew up on a farm and had horses since I was 9. This means that i have experience with horses (I can groom, muck out, turn out ect.) and can ride reasonably well. I got distracted from horses due to focusing on school and my Alevels and am now really excited to get back in touch with my passion for them and learn as much about them as I can. I am also not afraid of a bit of hard work or getting dirty! I enjoy any sort of work to do with animals and I'm looking to increase my abilities in this area. I spent one summer doing gardening work in Portugal and am very interested in learning more since I consider it to be an essential skill for the future. I have also had experience cleaning villas in Portugal. I have completed a TEFL course and therefore am qualified to teach English as a foreign language. I am keen to add more skills to this and so am very happy to learn anything that someone is willing to teach me! I am especially interested in developing skills to do with carpentry, working the land and anything to do with animals.Age

What else ...
During my first workaway in a dog shelter, I realised that being outside and working with animals is a 'career' I want to pursue. I love reading, going on walks and doing morning yoga. I am very flexible and easygoing.
