Hey! I'm Viki, an EFL (English as Foreign Language) and Spanish teacher/ex-tour guide from Budapest, Hungary.

I'm passionate about learning languages, traveling, and immersing myself in new cultures. I believe that meeting new people can add so much to the way we see life.

I'm new to volunteering, but I thought I would give it a try. I went through a lot in 2022 - drastic changes, loss, and grief - and I thought I needed a change. I would like to reconnect with nature, be around animals, learn new skills, and help and meet new people.

I can't wait to embark on this new and exciting journey. :)

1. Communication skills - I've been working with people for some time now (Help Desk Agent at a multinational company, Child Animator at an interactive indoor playground, Au Pair in Barcelona for 2 months, Tour Guide in Budapest for about 2 years, EFL teacher in Budapest since September 2021)

2. Animal care - I had two beautiful dogs that I lost recently.

3. Experience with children - I worked as a Child Animator and as an Au Pair. I also teach children in the language school where I work.

4. I can help around the house (general cleaning, laundry, vacuuming, dusting, ironing, and some cooking).

5. Unfortunately, I haven't done much gardening in my life, except for lawn mowing and planting aloe vera. :)

6. I can easily learn new languages and adapt to new ways of life.

7. I consider myself a fast learner, and I'm curious about a lot of things in life.

- Board games: I love playing with my family and friends (e.g. Scrabble, Catan, Harry Potter)
- Video games, e.g. Tomb Raider, Skyrim, The Long Dark, The Sims games (I especially enjoy designing homes.)
