Hi everyone, I’m Solveig ! I'm from Montréal, in Canada, and I am currently so exited to be planning my next travel in Costa Rica !

I want to enjoy to the maximum my vacations by exploring new environnements, learning more about the Costarican culture(s) and improve my spanish (which is at an intermediate/advanced level) ! I'm an hardworking and dynamic person, who would truly love to get involved in my workaway.

I love learning new skills, working with my hands, have inspiring conversations, and meet new people, and I think that Workaway is an amazing tool to do that.

I've worked in hostels, farms and bars with workaway, beside of having a big work experience in everything customer-service related and social-work.

At home, i'm aspiring to adopt a lifestyle more eco-friendly, with interests in gardening, healthy and homemade eating etc..

What else...? I love hiking and being immersed in nature, to read and i'm a huge music fan (of a lot of styles!)

Quiero aprovechar de mis vacaciones para aprender más sobre la cultura costariquense, practicar mi español (tengo un nivel intermediario, puedo sostener todo tipo de discussiones pero siguo haciendo errores!)

Mis experiencias con workaway fueron absolutamente increibles, y considero que eso se puede explicar por la immersion en un mundo diferente de lo mío, que implica aprentisajes y diversión!

Me encanta trabajar con mis manos, aprender nuevas habilidades, tener buenas conversaciónes y conocer nuevas personas! Estoy una persona trabajadora, que quiere involucrarse en su workaway.

He trabado en hosteles, en el campo, con animales y en bars gracias a workaways, y también tengo una grande experiencia de trabajo en el servicio con clientes y en trabajo social. En mi vida cotidiana, hago esfuerzos multiples para adoptar un mode de vida más cerca de mis valores, en respeto con el medio ambiante, y que valora la comida sana, la igualdad, etc.

Que más...? Me encanta hacer trekking, leer, y también estoy una grande fan de musica, especialmente sí implica discubiertas!

- Organization: A lot of experience in my jobs, my implications in projects, and in school! I'm pretty organized without being super stressed with it, and I would day that's one of my main qualities

- Computer skills/ literacy and redaction

- (A LOT) of experience in customer service : At home as well as in my last workaways, I've work in the service industry for a long time. I am used to give an excellent customer-oriented service, to efficiently and sympatically help and organize people, diffuse any situation that may arise... And I love a challenge ! At home, I work in communitary work, so I am also used to work with vulnerable communities and I can have some great ideas about making your place more accessible, if that's something that might interest you.

- I speak french (first language) , english, and spanish (fluent) and I love to practice or learn basics of other languages as well!

- Gardening: I have a big interest, have always had plants and vegetables at home, and i've been involved a few years ago with an urban agriculture collective in my city; we did hydroponics, have big gardens, organized workshops etc.

- Cooking: I developped a great interest in healthy and tasteful cooking the last few years, especially regarding vegetarian cuisine (and I make great kombucha, if it's something that you would like me to show you!)
