Description
Hi there,
I'm Julia, a girl from Mainz, Germany , who is generally curious about the world. I love meeting new people and learning and experiencing new things. After I finished school, I was already on the road with workaway, back then mainly in Denmark and Sweden. I really enjoyed that experience and I'm looking forward to having great experiences with workaway again.
Maybe a few facts about me: I'm 22 years old and I'm studying molecular biology here at the university. This semester, however, there has been a bit of a shift in the study schedule, so a window of opportunity to travel has opened up at the moment.
In my free time I like to do art and other creative projects, music and sports, and enjoy attending all kinds of cultural events. I have a very social and outgoing personality and therefore like to be out in the world and with people a lot. When I need some quiet time for myself, I love to read a book or just paint. But I also enjoy doing these kind of things with my friends.Interests

As I have already stated, I already have some knowledge of French, which I learned at school. However, I am very interested in expanding my knowledge of the language. Especially since I will be living and studying in Montpellier for half a year next spring and I would like to become more confident in the language beforehand.Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

Since I like to try out so many new things in my life, I have already learned a lot, at least a little bit. This definitely includes some handicraft activities, especially since I attended a Waldorf school where this kind of skill is even part of the curriculum. In addition, I have expanded these skills a bit through a few construction projects of my own (such as building a bed) and also definitely during my last workaway time.
Furthermore, I have some experience in working with children, for example, I tutored maths, german and science for some time. I also often work with children when I am travelling in the Alps with a company that organises school trips. I particularly enjoy showing and explaining new things to children, especially as they are so curious about the world.
I have also worked a lot with animals. I have the most experience with horses, as I've done horseback riding for a long time myself. But I have also spent some time working in stalls with cows, sheep, geese and chickens.Age

What else ...
As I have already mentioned, in my free time I enjoy sports, art and creativity. This includes playing handball, dancing, cycling and bouldering. As often as I can, I try to spend time in the mountains to hike and climb or snowboard. To express myself artistically and creatively, I like to paint, make jewellery or take photographs. Or start a craft project like converting old cinema seats into a usable piece of furniture (my project at the moment).
As my study subject might already tell you, I am also very interested in science. This is my great passion in life. It's just very fulfilling for me to learn how the world around us works. I also really enjoy passing on my knowledge to others. Some more information
