I have learnt English during my high school year in Whangamata, New Zealand where I had an amazing time.

After I finished my school, I made my dream come true and did several voluntary internships in Greek, South Africa and Costa Rica. I love to be in the nature, and I’m very interested in all kinds of animals.
Therefore, it was a great experience to stay for three months at the “Kruger National Park”. I lived at a lodge in the park and had to help the rangers. We had e.g., to observe and count animals, to change cameras and to evaluate information and send it to scientists.

In Costa Rica I worked at the Wildlife Rescue Center, which I loved. It was my job to take care and to feed several animals like monkeys, sloths, macaos and ocelots. With the monkeys we went in the jungle every day, so they could play there. The focus of the work of the Wildlife Rescue Center was to release the healthy animals in the wild, if possible.

I also worked in a turtle rescue project in Costa Rica in the middle of the jungle. There we had to guard beaches and to protect beaches from thieves, even in night shift. We also did beach clean up’s. I had to do different craft activities like building fences, clean a well, repairing the house, cutting bamboo with a circular saw. I also had to do physically demanding work like carrying sandbags.

In Greek I worked at Dimitris natural farm and vineyard, which was located on a small island called Lipsi. My job was to feed the donkeys, goats and chicken, to prepare the grapes for wine, to pick figs in the orchard and to pick tomatoes and corn.
