I am Louis I'm English, 28 years of age and seeking new adventures!

I have been climbing for 7 years and love it. It's both physically and mentally challenging - problem solving for me is great fun. I love the combination of the outdoors and activities that bring you closer to nature.

After university I started working in a Bronze casting foundry for a Sculptor, I specifically worked as a mould maker in which I have 5 years experience - I have a BA Degree in Contemporary Design Craft which lead me into making Sculpture. I love Art and Design, Sculpture, traditional Crafts and architecture. I get very excited to learn new skills and processes, working with a wide range of materials and having a laugh while doing so!

My aim with joining the Workaway family is to meet new people have new experiences, see the world other cultures and learn new skills whilst doing so. I want to come away from this experience having helped people with meaningful work that has impacted their lives.

I have a BA Degree in Contemporary Design Craft and have working with a wide range of materials; Wood, Textiles, Ceramics, Metal and Stone. I have a Level 1 qualification in Arc Welding and experience in TIG Welding. During my Degree I worked for a Stone Sculptor cutting/splitting and preparing various stone types ready for carving. For the past 5 years I have worked in two different Bronze casting Foundries that used variations of the Lost Wax method of casting Bronze. In these foundries Mould Making was my specialty as well as metal finishing, I have worked with lots of different artists and all types of art work.
In my spare time I am a keen rock climber, I consider myself fit and don't shy away from physical work.
