Hi there, thank you so much for having a look at our page.

We are a 29 year old Croatian/Russian girl and 30 year old Dutch guy looking to create some stories to tell to our future grandkids :D

We love exploring places off the general tourist trails and meeting new people with an entirely different cultural background than us, and what better way to do that than Workaway!

We are currently travelling with no fixed plans to fly back home. We are able to travel like this since Milan has been able to transform his full-time job as a telecom engineer in the office to a part-time remote working job. Iwana is working remote as customer service agent for 15 hours per week. This has given us the freedom to see a bit more of the world!

We are pretty down to earth, and absolutely love getting out there in the great outdoors. We both enjoy hiking, rock climbing, swimming, scuba diving, (wild)camping and surfing, but are very curious to try anything new (like white water kayaking recently).

Other than that we share interests in photography, videography & cooking.

Here are some of the interests we enjoy individually:

Milan: mountaineering, trail running, sea-kayaking & mountain biking
Iwana: animal care, photography, reading & scuba diving

PS. We just learned how to Scuba dive and are in love with it. We both are advanced adventurers!

-Iwana has experience in babysitting, as she has taken care of her cousins since they were born. Additionally, she has taken care of kids every now and then in places that she has lived as side jobs.
During quarantine she has discovered that she is very interested in cooking. She has no dietary preference which means she is free to cook for any type of diets.
She is a big fan of animals, she has cat- and dog sitted for friends and for people through dedicated websites. She helped out at an animal shelter in Croatia for 3 months which was the best experience in her life.
She studied Media and Entertainment Management, so she has the basic knowledge of Creative Business.
Her professional work experience has been in customer service for Booking.com and an online bank company (Klarna).
The summer season of 2022 she worked on an Austrian mountain hut and a 4 star hotel, so hospitality is no problem for her. She went back to the 4 star hotel in 2023 to work there again for 5 months.

She adapts easily to every kind of work. She likes to learn to do new things, actually, this is the reason why she wants to do experiences with Workaway!

- Milan has some experience with woodwork, but please note this has not been formal training. He’s very interested in broadening his knowledge in the field of carpentry, general construction & maintenance.

In any case he’s a hard worker, pretty handy with his hands and very eager to learn more about any task you have for him. He’s also relatively fit, so he won't shy away from losing some sweat with hard work ;)

So together we are an unbeatable team!

What else ...

Our new goal is to learn how to sail!

We do have to consider the fact that Milan has to work 3 set days a week (Monday - Wednesday/ 8h per day) and he needs a stable (preferably fast) internet connection.

Iwana also has to 15h per week which are not set like Milans.

But depending on the Workaway, it is possible for him to take up to 1 month of holiday.

Iwana doesn't mind covering his Workaway shifts.
