  • Description

Recently returned from Uganda and attending university in September, I am looking for opportunities to work and travel around the globe.

I'm 23 with enthusiasm and energy for learning and adventure. Whether working in a team or navigating solo, I'm known for my adaptability and strong organisational skills. I take on tasks with ease and always strive to do my best, I'm quick to learn new skills and I embrace challenges when they arise. I'm not afraid of hard work, and I find reward in a job well done. Beyond that, I get on easily with others and harbour a good sense of humor, as well as respect and understanding for others.

Recently, I travelled to Uganda to volunteer with The Molly & Paul Childcare Foundation for 3 weeks, an NGO supporting disadvantaged children's access to healthcare and education in Uganda. I feel extremely privileged to have had this opportunity to give my time to this amazing charity and embrace the unique experience.

Looking ahead, I am attending university in September as a mature student, so until then I have time to fill. From April to August, I am hoping to make the most of what Workaway has to offer and embark on greater adventures as well as work in the meantime.

In the last year, I have managed to travel to Barcelona, Sardinia, The Netherlands, Scotland and most recently, Uganda. This is only the beginning, as I am eager to see as much of the world as I can. I am looking for an opportunity diverse and exciting; whether that's applying skills I already have or learning something entirely new. I am willing to give most things a go!

When it comes to travelling or working abroad I am open to most opportunities with the prospect of learning new skills and trying new things, from experiencing local culture, languages, food, etc. I am willing to give most things a go and in return, I will be an enthusiastic, friendly, and hard worker.

  • More details about your skills

    - Full UK Manual Driving License
    - Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award
    - ABRS Equitation Tests 1 - 4
    - ABRS Stable Management Tests 1 - 4

During my time as a volunteer Instructor Assistant & Groom at Wheal Buller Riding School, I gained fantastic experience in equine care and equitation. My commitment to professional development led to the attainment of Association of British Riding School (ABRS) Level 4 certifications, earned through training under certified instructors.

As a vital team member, I was entrusted with crucial responsibilities, including the handling of horses, ensuring client safety, and effectively managing fellow volunteers. In the dynamic and fast-paced environment of the riding school, I demonstrated adaptability by prioritising responsibilities, multitasking, and maintaining flexibility. This experience not only developed my equitation skills but also showcased my ability to work in a dynamic role within the equestrian community.

I have engaged in a range of sports over the years, including horse riding, archery, kayaking, fencing, paddle boarding, and various others. My inclination towards sports is driven by an adventurous spirit, and I love to try new things and be in the outdoors doing so. I love to try new sports and I hope to one day train in horseback archery as it would combine the two sports I love most.

Horses and animal care are the areas I am most interested in and have the most experience in but this is not to say that I’m not open to other opportunities. I have worked with children and can liaise easily with people from all walks of life. I work as efficiently alone as I do in a group and am self-motivated.

If you feel you have an opportunity that may suit me then please don't hesitate to get in touch, I'd love to hear from you!
