Travelling
Description
Hi there! I am looking for an adventure in the outdoors and to learn something new at the same time. After finishing my studies I'm fortunate to have some time now to travel and meet new people. I enjoy working hard and being active - running, hiking, swimming, camping, climbing - anything basically.
For the last 7 years I've worked in hospitality and administrative roles and this is something I am keen to continue whilst moving about. I love working in a team with lots of people with different backgrounds and experiences.Interests

For the last 7 years I have been working either full time or part time in various hospitality roles to help support myself during periods of study. These roles have always been in fast-paced and challenging environments, but working within a good team makes these things bearable. The roles have ranged from bartending to waiting to door hosts. I enjoy the hectic nature of this kind of work, and I think this experience as well as my studies and volunteering work mean I have pretty strong communication and conversational skills.
The work I am most proud of is as a trustee, caseworker and befriender for an LGBTQ+ refugee organisation in Yorkshire. This charity is so important to me and I believe the people I have met through this has helped to expand and shape my world view enormously. As a caseworker, I have prepare our people for their Home Office interview, helping them to share their story and providing a statement of support they can use as evidence. For the past 3 years I have organised and run the weekly zoom social, a god send during the covid lockdown months. As a trustee, I am part of the team which makes the hard decisions. All of these roles have equipped me with an ability to empathise and appreciate people's strengths within a group, as well as their needs and how best to accommodate them.
At University, I was part of the Mountaineering club for 3 years. For the final 2 years I was a trip organiser and then Vice President. This was an epic time and I learnt so much from this experience. My tasks were to organise the trips in advance, but also be a leader and help navigate relationships whilst away with new groups of people. We had varying ability levels and I wanted to ensure everyone got a fair crack at experiencing the beauty of some of the finest UK mountains. This job also involved thinking fast and considering everyone's safety in a situation, if the weather changed or things went wrong.
In my spare time I love to go camping or hiking with friends and also by myself. I also spend a lot of time reading pretty much anything and everything.Age

What else ...
I love board games and climbing trees!
My favourite mountain region is the Torridon hills in North West Scotland.
I once lost a brand new (expensive) gore-tex glove in a snow storm off the side of Sgurr nan Gilean on the Isle of Skye. That was a sad moment. Some more information
