Description

We are a couple from Iceland, currently living and studying in Denmark. We have a passion for travelling and seeking new experiences. We are both educated social pedagogues and have both worked as such. Elva is also a yoga teacher with a green thumb Bergþór loves fixing broken things and building stuff. We are quite sociable people and enjoy spending time with others, being outdoors and enjoying life.

More details about my language interests
We have a goal to be fluent in Danish by the end of 2023, it is going 'okay' but we would love to speak some more Danish on a daily basis. We appreciate any help ;) We are also very open to teach people some words in Icelandic or doing longer Icelandic sessions if people are interested in that.

Bergþór is quite handy in many areas. He can build from wood, do some plumbing, and fix basic things such as machines, simple engines and electrics. He has had all sorts of jobs ranging from working with teenagers in social centres, worked as a mountain hut caretaker to being a police officer.

Elva is both solution oriented and creative. She loves taking on new tasks, that are both physically and mentally challenging. For the past years she has been working in multiple project related to mental and physical health, with people from various age groups. She is also a passionate gardener and everything that is handicraft-related, interests her, whether it being knitting, drawing or jewellery-making.

In general, we both love learning new things and developing our skills in all kinds of different areas. We are both good communicators and pretty resourceful, and we usually figure out a good way to solve any kind of tasks that we take on.

At the moment we are doing our master's degree in Social Entrepreneurship and Management at Roskilde University. We are interested in having conversations about all kinds of topics, such as; social and environmental sustainable solutions, building projects and educational systems.
