    Description

We are Marleen and Joop, a retired Dutch couple and we live in France, Lot, Cajarc. Our hous(es) are located on 'de Causses Du Quercy, an UNESCO GLOBAL GEOPARK' near the trail of Santiago de Compostella and is about 5 km away from the nearest village Cajarc. We are looking at first for gardening help and as second help around the house (maintenance).
It is all green nature around here and hidden in that green environment is our stand alone wooden chalet. It has been constructed in an ecological manner and it is provided with isolated material. A wooden stove will provide the heating, therefore the chalet will be agreeable during all seasons. The surface is 66 square meters. There is a living with open kitchen and two big couches for lounging. You also have a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with shower and toilet. Wi-Fi is available.
You have your own terrace with an outdoor kitchen. You can use the rose garden with dining table. On our property there is a pool for body dipping and swimming. After prior consultation, we allow dogs.

From the Chalet you can take a walk on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela that leads to beautiful vistas and of the Gorges du Lot and the Gorges du Cele. For the water lovers there are opportunities for canoeing the rivers Lot and Cele (canoe is present) and fishing.
At five minutes away by car you will find Cajarc, a lively village on the River Lot. Here you can obtain all daily needs like bakeries, a medium sized supermarket, butchers, post office, a Saturday market, six restaurants and an excellent wine tasting shop.
Twenty minutes away is Figeac, a town with all amenities, shops, a museum and a beautiful historical center. The market of Figeac on Saturday morning is a must for buying local products and afterwards the sunny terraces invite you to a nice cup of coffee.
Sights in the region: the famous Saint-Cirq Lapopie, Rocamadour, Figeac, Cahors with its famous Pont Valente, Capdenac-le-Haut, ChÂteau de Cénevières etc. In places further afield are Toulouse, Sarlat (Dordogne), Rodez, Albi and the Millau Viaduct.

As mentioned we are a retired couple and we speak Dutch, English, German and poor French. In earlier times we both worked as communication trainers and as transpersonal therapists. We still work sometimes as therapists. We both are very interested in living a spiritual and peaceful live here in nature. We appreciate openness in that matter, but it is not a condition.

    Help

We are looking at first for gardening help and as second help around the house (maintenance). The gardening is mainly maintenance and can be learned by everyone and the house maintenance can also be learned very quickly.
We are not so good in creating or cooking family meals so there is a fully equipped kitchen in the wooden chalet. Of course we will buy the food after consultation what you appreciate but the preparation is for you.
