Hi :) My name is Martyna, I'm 19 years old and I just graduated from high school. I plan on taking some time off before I go to university. I'd like to travel, experience new cultures, meet people and eventually get to know myself better too. I am an open-minded, cheerful person who sometimes gets overly excited about things, whether it is a cute dog, a favourite song on the radio, or a beautiful landscape. I am not afraid of getting my hands dirty and I'd say I am a hard-worker. I can't wait to take up new challenges and job opportunities.
I have a passion for languages and psychology. In my free time, I enjoy reading philosophical works, playing chess, or watching movies. I absolutely love to dance and sing (mostly in the shower). During the first lockdown, I picked up ukulele and ceramics, therefore I am still improving my artistic skills. I like to relax by doing sports like swimming or yoga, I also trained karate for 9 years. I have some experience in surfing, which I am looking forward to practicing this year too. I am a vegan but I have no problem with eating vegetarian if there is no other option.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I used to volunteer in the Foundation "Mam Marzenie" (Polish equivalent of "Make a Wish" Foundation) where I learned about event organization and developed my communication skills. I also worked in a pre-school in London, where I had a chance to look after young children and be a helper to the teachers. That thought me a lot of patience and creativity, and I gained some experience with looking after kids, also the ones with special needs. In the past, I also took part in Model United Nation conferences frequently, which I believe has prepared me for work where human relations and teamwork are essential. I like to cook and am still learning about it, so I'd describe my style as quite experimental. I worked as a waitress and a cleaner in a small restaurant, which expanded my knowledge of gastronomy and maintenance a bit. I enjoyed that time very much, it was probably the summer when I met the most people in my life. I made great memories talking to the guests and got inspired to travel the world just like many of them.
