~I'm currently working as an English teacher in Taiwan and therefore not looking for anything in 2026 but I'm open to opportunities related to woodworking, natural building, environmental NGOs, and schools/ teaching. Anywhere in Europe or the USA in 2027.~

Hi all!

I usually spend my time between doing seasonal work and volunteering through Workaway the rest of the year. I have recently realized my dream of buying a house and I will be spending the next few years working on this project (renovating the house and turning the garden into a food forest).

I have been part of the Workaway community for over 5 years now and I have had plenty of positive experiences. I usually prefer mid to long term stays.

Most of all, I'd like to learn about eco building, help in any non governmental organization/ charity or do hostel work. I've also been learning how to upcycle old furniture as a hobby, I'd like to have the chance to practice Russian, Italian and Mandarin, and improve on my vegan cooking skills so any chance to do any of that would be great. I'd like to learn about different aspects of woodworking. Lately I've been learning more about natural building, permaculture, natural medicine and sewing.

I have also recently obtained my amateur radio license (class 2).

I am vegan for environmental and ethical reasons. I like dancing occasionally (swing, bachata) and I love reading books/ articles related to current events, international relations, social entrepreneurship, comparative religion, comparative linguistics (Indo- European), and alternative living.

I am Bulgarian. I've lived in England, Italy, Czech Republic and the US. I currently live in Taipei, Taiwan. I am 28 years old.

I do not smoke or drink.

I have:
• an EU passport and EHIC
• US passport/ SSN

I am usually open to both employment and volunteering opportunities. More than happy to work weekends and longer days when needed.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have experience volunteering/ working in hostels in Kotor, Montenegro (2 weeks), Nottingham, England (7 months) and Inverness, Scotland (3 months) doing housekeeping and reception work. I have experience being a waitress in restaurants and pubs, pet sitting, childcare, working in a campsite, and some barista experience (in a bakery; no experience dealing with alcohol but happy to learn).

I have basic computer skills such as Microsoft office and I've done a content management internship for a website in Prague, Czech Republic (Wordpress/ SEO). I've assisted with event management; drafting documents, presentations, video scripts and other content for internal events; writing and editing blog content; conducting interviews and doing background research for papers as part of an internship with an NGO.

I'm used to helping my grandparents in their garden where they grow fruits and veggies, as well as preserve food for winter. I have been a volunteer in permaculture communities so I have some experience in organic gardening and natural building and I am very keen on learning more. I also have experience in social care, looking after elderly people and adults with disabilities. I adore animals and I'd be happy to take care of them but my experience is limited (apart from cats, dogs and chickens with which I'm confident).

Lately, I worked for a small business doing administrative work and social media/ website management; worked as a Castle Guide working with tourists; and did cooking in a vegetarian (mostly plant-based) restaurant in the US- I was responsible for making salads and salad dressings from scratch, soups, desserts, smoothies, etc. As a volunteer I have experience cooking for small groups of up to 6-7 people (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

I currently work as an English teacher in a school in Taiwan, working with kids aged 2-3, 7-8, and 8-9.

I have been living on my own in foreign countries since I left high school which made me a very independent, responsible and clean person. I can assist with cooking and cleaning.

I have a valid Driving license (+ an International Driving Permit).
