Hi everyone!
My name is Valentina, I'm 26 and I come from Italy. I'm a singer, musical theatre performer, language teacher and I'm currently finishing my Bachelor's degree in Translation and Iterpretation.
I love travelling and volunteering as a workawayer to improve both my English and German, to meet new people and learn new skills. In the past I've helped build a straw bale house, done some woodland maintenance and painted some watercolours in Ireland. Then I went to Germany and I helped with gardening, animal care and cleaning.
I really love Germany, its culture and the German language, in fact I'm currently doing a one year exchange as a student at the Heidelberg University, where, as luck would have it, I met Lorenzo.
I express myself through creativity: apart from singing, which is what I'm most passionate about, I'm into songwriting, painting, drawing and crafting. I love moving my body by hiking and running, but I'm also into pole dancing and calisthenics.
I try to surround myself with nature as much as possible, because it makes me feel at peace with myself and the world. I'm also vegan and I try to respect all forms of life.
I've been working since I was 18 and with the experience I've gained, I could help you with language learning, singing, acting, painting, cooking (although Lorenzo is way better at it and you have to try his homemade pizza) and cleaning. I have little experience in gardening and carpentry.

Hi! My name is Lorenzo, I’m 24 years old, and I come from Tuscany, Italy. I am currently finishing my Master’s degree in Philosophy at the University of Pisa and my dream is to move to Germany soon.
I love Germany and especially the German language: I recently completed a six-month Erasmus study program in Heidelberg, where I had the opportunity to practice the language intensively. It’s been an unforgettable experience (I’ll be back there in January to write part of my master’s thesis) – it was there that I was lucky enough to meet Valentina.
Last summer I went to Germany for the first time, to Brombachtal (Odenwald, south of Hesse). There, I was hosted as a workawayer by a really nice German family ad I helped them with various activities such as gardening, carpentry, various manual work, cleaning and much more. Above all, I was in close contact with animals (sheep, chickens, horses, etc.) - some of which I had to take care of - as well as the wonderful hilly and wooded landscape around me: being surrounded by nature makes me feel good.
I also have experience in many different jobs (not in Germany). For example, I’ve volunteered in my city to help the needy, I’ve worked as an assistant for an IT company and for the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa; I have also worked as a waiter and taken care of an elderly lady who needed assistance.
I am a very open and curious person, eager to learn, keen to travel and to seek new experiences, especially new friendships. I am quite used to sharing space: I am the second of seven children - we are five brothers and one sister, the youngest.
I have several passions and hobbies. First of all, I practice athletics as a middle-distance runner: I train every day (about 80-90 km per week) and participate in races. Lately, I have also become very fond of trail running – I find it wonderful to venture into the mountains, stay in the open air, and observe the view from above. Additionally, I really enjoy photography, reading and writing, and in general, all creative activities are stimulating for me.
I look forward to new and enriching adventures, making new friends, sharing my experiences, and contributing in some way. I hope to meet you soon!Interessengebiete
