Beschreibung

I'm Louis. I'm travelling around Portugal to, at first, assist others with their projects, should their cause inspire me, to build upon my skills and to get to know the country better. Over the next 5 years I expect to buy land in Portugal to set-up a new home for me and my partner. From there we will run projects in cooking, re-wilding, growing organic food and hosting others to facilitate workshops.

A Chef by trade, I take inspiration from the seasons in my cooking and hope to teach vegan cookery workshops once our project is established. I would be very glad to cook for hosts and fellow volunteers, but my primary goals are to improve my building skills, particularly in learning to build small off-grid dwellings and compost toilets. I am also very keen to learn how to effectively treat sewerage and harvest energy and rain water. I'd also love to improve my growing skills. I'm fit, strong and healthy and very glad to turn my hand to the toughest of labourious tasks.

I'll be travelling by campervan and look forward to engaging with my hosts, fellow volunteers and the local community to help to create positive change and communion.


I'm Imogen. I am in Portugal firstly to help and learn from others who are already paving the way to a more self-sufficient, natural way of living. I am irreducibly inspired by communities like these and visualise the same for myself and my partner.

I'm passionate about trees and the conservation of forests and woodlands. I have an Advanced Diploma in Forest Management and I would love to help with projects where I can get involved with physical tasks, whilst expanding my knowledge of regenerative and sustainable forestry practices such as Agroforestry and Social Forestry. I'm fit, healthy, stronger than I look and don't mind getting dirty! I'm willing and able to get stuck into any manual labour wherever necessary.

I draw trees with a feather quill and handmade, natural inks. Once our own project is underway, I would like to offer workshops in drawing and how to create the inks and quills. I enjoy experimenting with vegan cooking, I'm fascinated with medicinal herbs and I create my own tinctures which I would be delighted to share the knowledge of.
