Hello!!
We are Elise and Tegs, conscious travellers from Scotland. We are looking for our next adventure in Spain, after spending time in the Highlands in the small community of Knoydart working on low impact forestry saving native trees by Sieving. We have explored a few corners of the world together, our travels took us to Vietnam at the start of the year. Prior to travelling together we both spent time on solo journeys in countries such as New Zealand and South America.
We are both lovers of waterfalls, rivers, magical places and interesting ruins.
Knoydart opened our eyes to what community can be, strong, resilient, and to be part of that and to give back was incredibly special. We are looking for something we can really sink our selves in to, and work along side the land with others.
Tegs - I have experience in cob house building, after spending 3 weeks on a Permaculture community in Argentina. I'd love to further this skill, as well as furthering my carpentry skills!
In 2024 I spent 5 months in Asia travelling Thailand, India and Sri Lanka, and now feel like I have been taken over with a travel bug that doesn't want me to stop exploring the world and learning from others.
I spend most of my time outside, in Scotland I live very rurally, surrounded by trees and hills and have spent seasons tree planting. This is what makes me feel calm. I spend a lot of time in the running waters that surround the area I live in, I love the craft of herbalism, and I am not shy of hard work around eco building ,garden art and DIY.
I also love to dance, do yoga (this is part of my everyday routine) create music, connect, share my skills and passion with others. I love to cook, my home growing up was an open door to friends and family so cooking for large groups is not something I am a stranger to.
I care for the planet I walk upon, it is a sanctuary and I believe community is the way to find harmony.
Elise- I grew up in rural Dumfries and Galloway, and have been doing outside jobs for my dad since I was a child. This has continued in to my adult life and is what makes me feel the happiest. I spent a season tree planting too.
I have experience animal sitting, in a rural area of New Zealand over Christmas. My time in New Zealand was spent hitchhiking and trekking.
I have a peak interest in eco building, landscaping (which has been part of my work in Scotland) and carpentry. Any hands on work I am very happy to get involved with. When it comes to my work I am to be as low impact on the planet as possible, working along side nature instead of against it.
In my time away from work I love to go up the hills of Galloway, go wild swimming with my lovely friends, and explore new woodlands where me and Tegs will spend about 4 hours looking at mushrooms.
Tegs has basic Spanish learnt in Chile and Elise is learning Spanish. -

Was könntest du arbeiten?
Tegs - I studied Sustainable development in university, and have a lot of experience living off grid with solar energy.
Growing up in various communities I got to learn a lot from those around me. I am handy with a drill, I find projects around making things incredibly exciting and fulfilling. I spent a year living in Portugal, and much of my experience staying on eco-projects was around gardening, sign writing and also childcare.
I spent 8 months working in a bakery, spend a lot of time baking for friends and family and really enjoy this process. I am used to working with seasonal crops too as my mum has a small farm with cows and food growing, so using what we have to hand is also something I am not a stranger too.
I am incredibly motivated and when given a task am very good at just getting on with it. I have some skills when it comes to carpentry (not a huge amount but this is something I would love to practise in). My 3 weeks on an eco project in Argentina expanded my knowledge in working with natural materials, we built a volunteer accommodation from straw, clay and water. This experience was life changing for me.
I spend a lot of time foraging, and have a lot of skills (specifically around Scottish plants and mushrooms) with identifying my plants, trees etc... I have done a bit of fermentation, this is something else I would love to delve in to deeper.
I have had a lot of practise in creative exploration. Over summer I work at Scottish festivals and this is mostly in decor and building of the festivals. Creating murals, garden art and painting are all things I have experience in and feel comfortable with.
I have also ran Womens meditation circles in Scotland and love to share this skill, I love circus skills too, teaching and learning!
Elise- I am an all round handy person, from pond creation to wood splitting my dad has got me involved in whatever he can. I can use a strimmer effectively, have done path maintenance and pruning work too. I love to cook (we love to cook together) and can put together any ingredients to create a beautiful meal.
I am gentle with animals, and have experience in animal care from a young age. This has taught me the art of having a calm head when needed as I have worked with dairy cows, not light work!
I have spent a couple of years doing festival build work, with heras fencing building. I am strong and cape-able, and wherever I can am keen to get involved.
I am handy with a drill and can do simple DIY work. -
