Kia ora (hello in Te Reo Māori), I’m Tegan from New Zealand and I’m a nature loving, adventure seeking, kind hearted person travelling around Central and South America. I am very excited to join WorkAway and connect with incredible people in this special place. I am deeply motivated by creating meaningful friendships and learning a new culture. I’m on the journey of learning Spanish and aiming to travel as sustainably as I can. I’m very passionate about protecting our Earth and connecting with likeminded people. I love to challenge myself and learn new skills! Can’t wait to see where this adventure takes me.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a speciality in photography. For the last two years I was involved with starting up an arts organisation in New Zealand so I have a variety of skills such as management, communication and marketing, customer service skills.
I’m passionate about conservation and have worked in a native plant nursery and also with pest control in NZ. I love animals so would love to learn more about animal care.
I have also trained as a Zipline guide and have experience working in tourism.
I am an avid hiker and love riding mountain bikes. I am very confident in the outdoors - it's my happy place!
I love connecting with new people and am a quick learner. I thrive when I throw myself into new challenges.
