Hello, my name is Nathan. I am a college student studying nursing/ medicine. I'm currently taking a gap year because I want to enjoy life and travel while I am still young. I was vice president of my university's sustainability/ gardening club and I have previously studied abroad in Osaka, Japan. Something that motivated me to travel was that it brought me happiness during a stressful time in my life. It allowed me to learn how to take care of myself without depending on others. I also enjoy photography as a hobby and I own a fish tank.

Hi I'm Heather! After graduating from studying law in the UK this summer, I am taking a gap year to travel the world and experience everything it has to offer. During university, I studied abroad in Lyon, France and Osaka, Japan which ignited my love of travel. I love learning things in the places I travel to, such as taking French lessons, or learning to cook Japanese cuisine. I was interested in Workaway as an opportunity to learn new skills and share impactful experiences with new and interesting people.

Skills:
- Gardening
I have experience cultivating a garden. I've owned a personal garden bed, been vice-president of my university's gardening club, had responsibilities maintaining a greenhouse, and have had experience pruning/ picking from fruit trees.

- Videography
I have a personal YouTube channel where I have experience editing and creating content to post online. My content includes traveling vlogs, gaming, and movie reviews.

-Photography
I have experience using and owning a DSLR camera. I have a portfolio of landscapes, people, and animal photography on my personal Instagram (nathn.nguyen). This is a hobby of mine that I am proud of.

-Carpentry
I have an intermediate understanding of building structures and platforms. I volunteered after school to build set pieces for the drama club in high school and have had experience working in construction and manual labor.

-Openness
I've worked a variety of jobs from making pretzels to waiting tables to planting 100 trees in one day. As long as you have the patience to teach me, I will learn pretty quickly how to do any type of job.
