Beschreibung

Hi, we are Katja (Katie) and Pia (Sky)!
We are 25 and 24 years old and from Germany. We just graduated uni and decided to go travel the world for a few months, starting in March, before working life gets us.

Katie is a studied and trained journalist, skilled in writing and communication. She is a strong-willed, open-minded, outgoing person who loves to be active: She does equestrian vaulting competing on a national level back home in Germany, loves to run, go to the gym or any kind of movement really.

Sky is a social worker and experienced in working with children and teenagers between ages two and eighteen in child welfare (cognitive/communication impairment, mental illness). She is kind-hearted, loves cooking and baking, being creative and learning about spiritual and cultural things. She is also very interested in women's and queer rights.

We share a big interest in the written word (as in reading books and writing), movies, music (Katie used to play the piano, the guitar and the drums and Sky sings, plays flute and used to play the oboe in an orchestra but we are very out of practise, and we love visiting concerts and festivals), political activity and spirituality.

Our goal in life is to never regret. We believe that we can change ourselves and change the world so we are constantly reflecting and are interested in all kinds of things and people since we never want to stop learning and developing.

We are native German speakers and happy to teach as much as we can about the language. Our English is ok but we would always love to improve it just as our Spanish and French or learn a new language!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We are adaptable people who don't mind working hard. We like to think we are responsible for our own lives so we always go by hands-on-mentality. We've been working in shops , service, walking act and waitressing home in Germany, Katie once worked as a fundraiser for non-profit-organisations and in hostels during her last Workaway in Ireland. We are skilled in our respective fields (media/communication and social work with children). We both grew up with horses and have basic riding skills. Sky's family owns a horse and Katie does equestrian vaulting and works at the stable on a regular basis. So we have experience in some and are interested in any kind of farm work. Katie cared for cats as well as sick and/or old rescue pet bunnies for most of her life and is especially interested in animal welfare. Basically, we love all animals and nature.
