Hello and welcome to our profile!

We are Sheldon and George, an international couple (Canadian and UK citizen) who share a passion for travel, language, culture, learning, and new experiences. We met in Spain in 2019 where we were both living abroad teaching English. We both have an intermediate-advanced level of Spanish. We have around 1.5 years of housesitting experience, including caring for horses, chickens, sheep, dogs, gardening, and maintaining a business for the homeowners. We just finished housesitting a 20 acre property with 3 rental suites in Victoria, Canada.

After almost 4 years of living together in Canada we were ready to leave the 9-5 office life to get back out in the world! We left Canada in December 2024 for at least 1 year to travel and see if we can make the transition to full-time digital nomads. We are looking to fill this time with once-in-a-lifetime experiences!

Sheldon: I am 33 years old and have built a career in provincial government working in environmental impact assessment and First Nations relations. Outside of work, I enjoy learning new skills and taking on projects. I recently built a campervan with my dad, taught myself how to make and bottle apple cider from scratch, learned how to can vegetables and salsas etc. I worked in the tourism industry for a few years while I attended university (where I majored in Spanish and Environmental Studies, combining my passions for travel and the environment!), so have some experience in customer service and tourism.

George is 28 years old and has worked as a Business Development Manager with a local book store since he moved to Canada. George has a degree in English from York University and worked as a primary school teacher for 2 years. George is interested and skilled in writing, photography, cooking incredible meals, running social media and marketing, and having ideas for improving business. His superpower is working with people and he constantly receives praise for his customer service attitude, positive demeanor and ability to make people feel comfortable. He makes friends wherever he goes!

We are friendly, quiet, respectful, responsible, resourceful, capable and independent. We love animals and are interested in spending time with dogs, learning more about horses getting better at riding, housesitting and caretaking, landscaping, learning to sail/boat, and working in a vineyard/learning how to make wine!
