Beschreibung

My name is Emily Rose. I'm a writer from the Great Plains of America. I believe in kindness and beauty, and strive to leave a bit more of both wherever I go.

In terms of experience:
I've spent a few seasons working on vegetable/cut flower farms (via WWOOF and some paid gigs in my home state), and my parents were avid home gardeners. Tending plants is my one true love, beyond even writing. I'm an English teacher at the University of Mitrovica at the moment. Prior to this, in between working on farms, I taught ballet to children -- I really enjoy kids, I think they have the most wonderful minds! In addition to farming and teaching I co-owned a cooperative coffee shop for a decade. In that time I was a barista, baker, and, eventually, an owner. It involved quite a bit of cleaning, customer service, organization, jerry-rigging, and patience :)

I am eager to gain experience with livestock, construction, and sailing! The first two because I hope to build my own self-sufficient house someday, the third just for fun!

I worked at a cooperative, worker-owned coffee shop for ten years, and have since spent 3 seasons on different organic farms. Whether you need help pulling a shot of espresso, painting a barn, cleaning a bathroom, writing ad copy, or weasel-proofing a chicken coop I’m your girl.
