Hello there! My name is Rose and I am a college student looking to learn about others, different cultures, and ways of life. I am motivated by the drive to always do more – more for my community and more good for the world. I am passionate about making a positive social impact through technology and business. I was born and raised in North Carolina in the US. However, I am always looking to explore places I've never been before!
I love talking to people from different walks of life, and so having meaningful connections with others brings me happiness. In my free time, I love to sew and alter/create clothes, embroider, cook, brew Kombucha, and code. I am fascinated with food and eating, especially different ways to cook and grow food. I love being outside, going on adventures, and hiking.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

While I do not have much professional experience in farming, I have done plenty of landscaping and gardening around my house. My family and I are very "do it yourself," and so we do all of our landscaping ourselves, climbing up ladders to trim bushes, planting fruit trees, and even getting rid of termite infestations. I work to compost all of our food scraps in our household compost bin, and am also very good at fixing things around the house (toilets, fans, dishwashers).
I cook multiple meals for my family daily, and have been trained professionally at multiple cooking camps and classes. I am also experienced in making kimchi and fermenting.
I love to teach, and have organized multiple tutoring and mentoring programs while I was in school. Every single one of my experiences mentoring and tutoring others has been extraordinarily meaningful, and I hope to do more of it in the future.
Finally, I have professional experience in coding, both front and back end development, as well as data science. I have also worked to market startups.

Was noch ...

I love cats and have three of my own. I hate to say it, but I love trashy TV, specifically dating shows. I listen to a wide variety of music, but my current favorite genre is Alternative R&B. I am constantly listening to podcasts, and am always looking for a new and moving story. My favorite podcasts are about investigative journalism, but I do love to listen to comedy podcasts while I am driving. In the future, I would like to get more into crafting, farming, and reading.
