Hola, soy Roman.

I am 35 years old guy from Germany, who is already the 2nd time traveling and volunteering in Patagonia.

I am an adventurous and easy going person, who wants to hand something back to his community, since i believe that all humans need to act in concert for a sustainable and happy life.I consider myself to be an open minded person and I'm curious and interested in the latin lifestyle. I love to enjoy nature and the tiny things in live, including good food, good music, long walks, yoga and meditation, reading and beer :).

I am travelling in South America already the 2nd time, this time with my girlfriend. Last time I traveled from Patagonia to Colombia without Flights.
Since she is taking some Sightseeing Route, I would like to give something of my valuable time back to the comunity.

We are currently living in the most beautiful city of germany, in Hamburg. While Covid let us stay at home for quite a while, we decided to travel the world, once we can. So we took a year off to explore our beautiful planet once more.

Travelling always gave me the opportunity to get in touch with local people, learn about their culture and their unfiltered daily life. Therefore, being a traveller means more to me than just "hop-on, hop-off" like a tourist. That's why I like the idea of workaway and am joyfully looking forward to meet many kind and friendly people to share many enjoyable experiences.

[1] I grew up in a do-it-yourself environment. This included making your own firewood, gardening, house and car repairs, construction of new buildings, lay electricity, and of course houshold support.
[2] I work now in a pretty good job, which is purely computer based. I really would like to use my hands again and escape the screen.
[3] I did already 2 workaways in Argentina during my last trip, which were the highlight of 6months traveling.
[4] I have been working as a youth-couch for a german handball team
[5] I have been tutoring "German" during my half-year stay in Taiwan (China)

Was noch ...

Honestly, I don't have much past experience in charitable organisations. That's one reason I am here. Not to put it on my CV. But due to the feeling something important is missing in my life. When I started to travel in 2013, i realized that i need to get out of my comfort zone, i stuck in for far too long. My main focus was wrong for a long time and now it's the time to change and adjust it new. I would be grateful if you give me this opportunity. You won't regret :)
