I am Raquel and I love to live life lightly, making the most of every moment and helping others whenever I can. What motivates me and brings me happiness is a combination of personal fulfillment, meaningful connections, and the pursuit of knowledge and growth. This involves setting goals and working towards them. Achieving these goals, no matter how big or small, provides a sense of accomplishment and purpose that fuels my drive. I’m super organized and a perfectionist: if there is something that needs to be done, then we should do it the best way we can, always! I’m always looking for new challenges and I give the most of myself in everything that I’m involved in, don’t quit easy at the first adversity I find. I believe that personal growth is a lifelong journey, and each day presents an opportunity to expand my horizons. I like teamwork and I’m keenly aware of the need to treat people the same, so meaningful connections with others also play a crucial role in my life. Sharing experiences, supporting each other through life's ups and downs, and celebrating achievements together create a strong sense of belonging and happiness.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Working in a touristic, famous bookshop in Porto (Livraria Lello), allowed me to improve my communication skills and understand that I like to work with people from around the world, receive them, and provide them the best experience they can have, in a new place they are visiting.
From my last job, working at a multinational company, I needed to learn and adapt to cultures from all continents to meet business requirements. I always look to the market to see the latest trends, propose new ideas, find suitable suppliers, and negotiate better contracts with them, price and service-wise, keeping in mind that I want to be the preferred customer to my suppliers. To be able to do all of this, I possess strong analytical skills, allowing me to dissect data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights. This is invaluable for informed decision-making. I also need to be very conscious of my time, be organized, and be able to lead and manage global teams, and the expectations of both internal and external stakeholders.
I also had the opportunity to organize two training events within my department: the first one with ~30 attendees, and the second one with ~100 attendees from all regions. For both events, I needed to organize logistics/travel arrangements, as guests were traveling from all parts of the globe, hotels, meals, event/training rooms and materials, team building events, and social activities. Attention to detail, careful planning, and efficient execution are my trademarks. Both were a huge success and gave me a lot of pleasure in organizing.
Additionally, besides what I’ve mentioned before, I’m a good problem solver, I excel at tackling complex challenges, breaking them down into manageable components, and finding effective solutions. I’m very responsible and take my commitments seriously. I understand the value of diverse perspectives and work harmoniously within teams to achieve shared goals. I excel at managing multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring that essential priorities are addressed first while maintaining a high level of productivity. I'm decisive, even in high-pressure situations. I weigh options carefully and make informed choices that align with overarching objectives.

I love sports, especially swimming, kickboxing, surfing, tracking, tennis, volleyball, SUP. I also enjoy board games, reading books, listening to music, hanging out with friends, going out to dance, catching sunsets, and traveling and learn new things!
